Sanctum | £3.49 & Free Play Weekend | Steam | PC
  • What: Sanctum
  • Where: Steam
  • Current Price: £3.49
  • RRP: £6.99

Steam are currently running a 50% sale on Sanctum, the first person action/tower defence hybrid from Coffee Stain Studios. Even better, though, is the fact that you can download and play Sanctum for free until Sunday evening (UK time), which will help you decide whether to throw a few quid at it.

You could get Sanctum plus 3 other games for pretty much the same price if you buy the Indie Royale bundle.

Sanctum, nice concept poorly executed. I also object to having to pay extra for towers in a tower defence game. What you can build is very limited (What I remember there are are 4 types of tower excluding DLC towers). Sure play the free version this weekend but if you really want a tower defence game go with either..

Single player - Orc's Must Die
Multiplayer - Dungeon Defenders

Or get it on the indie royal bundle.

Sadly the Royale Bundle is now over - there'll be a new one in six days' time.

@TsungUK0: Agreed. We've reviewed both, and would recommend them exactly as you've said: one or singleplayer and the other for co-op fanatics.

Still, it's a free-to-play weekend, and I'd check it out anyway.
