ScreamRide is already under £20 on Xbox One - and it's only out next month

Jonathan Lester
ScreamRide, Xbox One Games

Screamride is one of the more interesting and inexplicable Xbox One exclusives of 2015.

The creator of Elite is working on a bonkers physics-driven roller coaster simulator where we can design our own insane rides, enjoy them for ourselves, torment their punters or then destroy everything while cackling insanely. A bit like a darker Rollercoaster Tycoon, perhaps.

With more than 50 events and three unique game modes, ScreamRide unleashes the power of unbounded creation, addictive gameplay, and extreme destruction. Your imagination for creation and destruction is the only limit, at least, as far as the marketing spiel is concerned.

The jury's out, of course, but we can all agree that £19.85 is a serious pre-order saving no matter its calibre, especially since most retailers are charging £5-10 more. Another great spot by Turkey!

I need this on something with VR goggles.

@Tsung: Right? Well the way Dead Rising 3 and Ryse went down, perhaps that's not too far-fetched.

@Late: Yeah, it seems like the absolute perfect fit for VR, as if the whole project has been tailor-made for an experience that the Xbox One doesn't currently offer. HoloLens, perhaps? :P

I'm definitely taking it as confirmation that HoloLens is out early March.

Apparently there'll be a playable demo available to download tonight.
Nice. Tis always nice to get hands-on with a game, even if it's for a short time and in a limited fashion, before stumping up cash for it. And the very fact that a company will allow you to give it a quick whirl for free indicates they're confident you'll like it enough to want to buy it - so is a good indicator the product is good (though of course it's definitely no guarantee!)
