The Secret World Launches Week Of The Dragon

Funcom’s upcoming MMORPG, The Secret World, surprised quite a few people at Gamescom with its information blowout, showing off what to expect in terms of missions and PvP. Looking to keep the momentum going, Funcom have launched of an entire week dedicated to one of the three joinable factions to which players will get to pledge allegiance to; the chaos-creating Dragon.

The announcement was made in a news post on the official website. Six new screenshots have been added on their media page, with the promise of more content to emerge in the coming days. A Q&A session is planned on their official Facebook page at the end of the week, allowing those interested in learning more details about the green-clad faction to get their questions answered.

“Revealing new things about the Dragon is exciting for us, as the very nature of the Dragon is to stay hidden and create chaos behind the scenes to reach their ultimate goal,” Says Ragnar Tørnquist, Senior Producer and Director for ‘The Secret World’. “Not only is this a great opportunity to shed some light on the Dragon, but for a huge number of people who have already joined the Dragon through our initiation test, it’s an opportunity to find out more about their chosen secret society.”

With a planned release in March next year, and a beta test landing sometime before that, we expect to see plenty of details begin to flow on the official website in the days ahead, along with week long dedications to the remaining two playable factions of the Illuminati and the Templars.

If you have yet to read Dealspwn’s preview from this year’s Gamescom you can do so at the link here, and we have a video interview with Senior Producer Ragnar Tørnquist at the link here.
