If you found yourself captured by this summer’s Wimbledon but couldn’t stomach the depressing reality of another Andy Murray defeat, then why not enjoy some arcade tennis populated with blue hedgehogs and other such Sega regulars? SEGA Superstars Tennis on the Xbox 360 can be bought for a mere £3.75 from Play; an 'ace' price!
Volleyed into a price-comparison, Play’s deal rebounded as the cheapest available, with free delivery, too! Superstars, like a lot of recent Sega spin-offs, didn’t impress critics much, earning a 67/100 rating on MetaCritic, but reviewers did enjoy the variety of mini-games and comical nature of the game.
In Superstars Tennis, players pick from between 16 Sega fan-favourites, such as Sonic and NiGHTS. Each character has their own unique moves, with Sonic zigzagging around as Super Sonic, causing a flurry of lightning-fast fore and back-hands. The expected Tournament and League modes are present, along with a plethora of Sega themed mini-games, such as a House of the Dead satire, where players must hit advancing zombies with seemingly rock-hard tennis balls!
