SEGA: Valkyria Chronicles 3 Will Not Release In Europe

May Debut As Vita PSN Download

Valkyria Chronicles is one of the standout JRPG franchises of this generation, but SEGA has officially dashed our hopes of a European release of the third installment. Valkyria Chronicles 3 will not be launching in EU or US territories due to the perceived unpopularity of the PSP platform and high localisation costs. Damn.

However, there is a slim ray of hope. Sega haven't made a concrete decision about whether or not to release the title as a PSN download after the Vita launches. They'll be firming up the details "the next time they meet with Sony"... so here's hoping. [Gamespot]

This is like the old times, I thought these days they tried to make games available to a wide as possible audience. Fair enough to avoid EU for localisation costs but US is a big market to ignore.
