Troubled Eternal Darkness successor Shadow Of The Eternals will relaunch its crowd funding campaign later this month, following a lukewarm reception and controversy surrounding Dennis Dyack's involvement.
"We're very excited to finally be able to announce the re-launch date of our Kickstarter Campaign, going live on July 25," reads the latest Precursor Games update.
"We really want to thank our community and followers for the unwavering support and patience over the past few weeks - it's been a huge inspiration and motivator for us. Your feedback has been instrumental in many ways throughout the process of creating the new campaign and we can't wait for you to see what we have in store for you all."
Precursor retired the Kickstarter campaign last month, which was failing to garner momentum for a number of reasons. Beyond many potential customers worried about Dennis Dyack's past form (see also), the original campaign asked for a colossal amount of money for an episodic series, leaving plenty of us cold. Recently, Precursor suffered another setback in the arrest of co-founder Ken McCulloch on child pornography charges, though it's worth noting that he hasn't been convicted and the studio have distanced themselves from him.
We'll bring you the latest as we hear it.
