SimCity Survey Canvasses Player Opinion On Larger Cities, Offline Mode, More

Maxis are currently surveying SimCity players to see what they'd like from the game, asking whether larger cities and an offline mode might be of interest.

EA's questionnaire was revealed on Reddit and since published online. It contains several potential features including subways, bridges and underpasses, guilds, one-way roads, terraforming, military complexes and even organised crime. The oft-requested offline play and expanded city limits were also mentioned.

Note that this is by no means a statement of intent, and the metrics gleaned from this survey could well inform DLC or simply sit on a hard drive in a quiet corner of the office.

So, what the heck, let's have our own little survey. What do you want from SimCity?

I wonder if they'd dare to charge for a DLC pack for bigger city limits.

EA: Pay over the odds for our broken game, then pay us some extra to fix it.

(listed terraforming twice btw)

Well, terraforming is super important... :3

Here's my dramatic rendition of the most recent Act within the Sim City theatre production.

[We zoom in on a heated argument, where EA has provided Joe Public with detailed information on the latest Sim City game.]

[Joe Public punches EA in the face, and begins ranting.]

Joe: What have you done to Sim City? I want to play offline! And I want bigger cities!

[EA slinks off, nursing its broken nose.]

[Six months pass, during which, EA has sent Joe flowers and chocolates as an apology for its failings. EA calls Joe, and leaves a voicemail.]

EA: Hi, Joe. I was just giving you a quick call to see whether you'd be interested in an offline mode, and larger cities for Sim City?

[Joe jumps to his death out of a nearby window.]
