Essentially a divine mashup between RTS and 4X genres, the Sins series just delivers where it counts. Epic grand 4X strategy across a vast map, some seriously epic battles in real-time, plenty of opportunity for diplomacy and intrigue and broken promises and strong alliances and backstabbing. And the price is exceptional.

Price comparison link is br0ken

Does anyone know how SINS compares to Endless Space or X3, I'm tempted by this for the price, but don't want to waste so much time (as is the case with 4X games) on a dud one.

Wow, you just typed 'br0ken'. It's almost like being back in the 1990s.

You should have gone the whole hog and typed b0rked.

0ld sk00l baby! :)

Back on point though Anarchist, any help with the question?

Sorry, I've not played the other two - but I have played sins and loved it. But then I don't mind sinking time into games. Sins never seems short of something to do. Some of the battles do feel seriously epic.

Waah, missed this sorry! Sins is a cracking game, and well worth investing in. Endless Space is also pretty damn good, but a bit more expensive at the moment.

You don't want my opinion on X3, as it'll mainly be a stream of mumbled swearwords.

What's wrong with X3 Matt - genuinely interested in your opinion.
Also, if Sins and Endless Space were priced equally, which would you choose?
