Indie Tweedpunk survival shooter Sir, You Are Being Hunted has successfully reached the end of its Kickstarter campaign, ultimately attracting 231% of its funding target.
Having amassed a war chest of £92,551 (impressive considering that the target was £40,000), Big Robot will be able to implement all but one of their stretch goals. New biomes, a hot air balloon hunting squad and more will be added to the experience, but character customisation will likely be very limited due to not quite hitting the £100,000 threshold.
Multiplayer will be patched into Sir, You Are Being Hunted after the singleplayer version releases, allowing Big Robot to make the solo experience as good as possible. It's slated to release in July 2013, though this might be "subject to slippage."
In case you don't know, Sir, You Are Being Hunted throws players into a procedurally-generated tract of British countryside, forcing us run, scavenge, hide and occasionally fight to avoid being killed for sport by aristocratic robots. Now that's a premise.
Full disclosure: I've backed it.
