Improves Performance For "Long-Term Play"
I've clocked just under forty hours on Skyrim now, and amazingly I've yet to encounter any game-breaking bugs. Alas, a lot of you sadly have, and it's been ruining what is otherwise a staggering achievement in design and immersion from the studio who can do no wrong, Bethesda. Well, unless your game is constantly crashing, that is. Good news, then, for PS3 players, as Bethesda have rolled out a patch that addresses such issues, weighing in at 92MB.
And according to early reports, it works. Users on Bethesda's official forums exclaim "it fixes it!", although ostensibly at a small loss of texture quality. Bethesda's PR guru, Pete Hines, explains that the patch improves "long-term play" performance, which had hit a hitch on PS3 due to the size of save-files. This patch would appear to have fixed this.
