Seems to me that most people are enjoying the franchise they're more familiar with - so BF veterans are preferring BF3, COD regulars preferring MW3.

I'm in the latter camp, preferring MW3, but it's largely down to personal opinion - as well as what format you'll be playing on. (If it were pc I might prefer BF3 tbh, but I do my gaming on the 360...)

If costs are a consideration I reckon s/h copies of BF3 will be cheaper than MW3 in a month or so, but bear in mind you'll almost certainly need to buy an online pass for it, assuming you want to play online (there's not many folk who don't!)

BF3. It just seems like a bigger upgrade. I'm not a huge FPS player but MW3 is just more of the same with a continuation of the story. BF3 is a beautiful game, it at least looks fresh. But like the last person said, most of the time it'll be what you're familiar with, people can't help but back what they're used to.

BF3 has a far better multiplayer I think, with much larger maps enabling more tactics and also vehicles. Although the campaign is dreadful whereas MW3 has a good campaign but i don't like the multiplayer.

If you want vehicles then BF3, if you only want to run and gun then MW3. Apart from that they can both be broken down to similar squad based xp-levelling games. Personally gone with BF3 cos I'm bored with the COD run and gun and find the tanks, planes, choppers, jeeps, etc a more significant sequel, as hero9989 suggests, (plus enjoyed BF games since 1942).

At the end of the day, both will be ace/**** depending on who you're playing with... If your mates are already playing one or the other then the answer is pretty much already made - nothing worse than playing a squad shooter and your mates are wanting to play a different (but similar) game.

I'd agree with the above. MW3 is a more polished single player experience but BF3 wins hands down for the multiplayer.

I chose BF3 because the graphics look amazing. MW3 looked more or less the same as MW2 just with new levels.... that said though, BF3 is full of bugs. I have an Eyefinity system and most of the time the game wont even load.... when it does the lights are way too bright and are blinding. If you switch to a single screen it's better though.
