Sonic Co-Creator Joins Nintendo

Hirokazu Yasuhara, co-creator and level designer of Sonic The Hedgehog, has joined former rival Nintendo Of America according to Gamasutra. He's taken a mystery position at Nintendo NST, which is the studio behind Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario vs Donkey Kong and Ridge Racer 64.

After directing the first four Sonic games and eventually leaving SEGA, Yasuhara helped to design the Jak & Daxter series with Naughty Dog and worked at Namco Bandai for a time. We're looking forward to seeing what he's working on, though do of course remember that he's no longer affiliated with the Sonic brand.
