Mario Kart 8 may be utterly superb, but Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed is still well worth checking out. Impressive visuals and art direction, smooth handling, familiar characters and timeless party multiplayer make for a great party game, especially when you can nab the Wii U's limited edition version (including an extra OutRun-themed track and extra DLC) and save roughly a Fiver in the process.
