Sony Confirms Five Official UK PS4 Bundles

Sony has confirmed the five officially-approved PS4 bundles that will be available at launch in the UK, which include different pack-ins and price points.

IGN got the scoop and subsequently confirmed it with UK retailer GAME. Here's the official options:

  • £349 | Basic PS4 package
  • £399 | Basic package + Killzone: Shadow Fall
  • £399 | Basic package + Watch Dogs
  • £439 | Basic Package +Killzone: Shadow Fall and Driveclub
  • £449 | Basic package + Killzone: Shadow Fall, extra DualShock 4 controller and PlayStation camera

The 'basic' package includes the console, a single Dualshock 4, power lead, HDMI lead, USB cable, headset and quick start guide.

The £399 bundle also seems to confirm a £50 RRP for launch titles, which is reasonable, though ShopTo placed them at between £55-60. Some of the RRP may be absorbed by the bundle itself, mind. It's worth noting that a two-game bundle clocks in at just £10 more than an Xbox One basic package (though the Day One Editions include either FIFA 14 or occasionally Forza 5 depending on the specific retailer).

As always, UK retailers are free to bend the rules and dink the prices slightly, though there's little reason for them to do so at a console's launch.

Which is November 29th, just in case you didn't know.

They seem to have misunderstood the concept of bundles. They're supposed to be cheaper than buying the console and the game separately.

£449 for the same bundle Europe is paying €500 for? Nice of you to screw the UK customers over with your conversion rates again Sony, ($60 camera/controller equals £55, $50 PS+ equals £40 etc) So much for 'We expect it to be within £10 of the Xbox1 price,' (I checked the conversion rates and it's not much different to what it was when the PS4 price was announced so how does €100 equal £100?) as it stands if I was looking like for like I'd pick the XB1 bundle over this, I actually like forza, and the Kinect 2.0 is a much more advanced tech than the PS camera. I'll just stick with the console on it's own I guess.

£400 with a game is equally pathetic, there is zero saving in that deal, infact if you shop around I bet it would be cheaper to buy seperate.

MS for all their misgivings do not screw the consumer in the UK over their currency conversions atleast.

Not sure why anyone bother with anything but the £349 bundle, both watch dogs and shadowfall are on amazon for £50

Drive club looks prety weak so the £439 bundle doesnt look too good

And whilst the £449 bundle looks like good value as the camera isn't mandatory, i'd have to question just how much support its going to get compared to the xbox kinect one.

Think I'll be waiting until around March 2014 and see if Sony have any decent exclusives by then, as there launch line up looks a little thin and also so i can see how much this 50% more powerful than the xb1 actually is in real terms and if they havent interested me by then ill just buy an xb1 and titanfall bundle

The deals are not brilliant but those prices above are not not what is on offer for most good retailers
