Insomniac then took to the stage, unveiling a new level from Resistance 3. Set in St Louis, new protagonist Joseph Capelli navigates a war-torn city - which could be ripped straight from Fallout - offing Chimera with a wide range of weapons from rifles to shotguns. Capelli is aided by a resistance movement - geddit? - called the Remnants.
The demo skips forward to Capelli carrying a power-core in both hands as he and the Remnants desperately seek to escape the city, crawling in Chimera. An immense beast, almost spider-like, stomps into the fray. It was impressive stuff, the visuals crisp and busy, full of fantastic effects and great looking gameplay.
That said, it was pretty short. Sony atoned for that, however, by announcing a Resistance 3 Sharpshooter Bundle, bundling a load of PS Move stuff with a copy of R3. That's sure to delight fans.
