Ever since Sony mentioned a "customer appreciation program" and a "make good plan" last month, we've been eagerly awaiting news of some concilliatory swag to make up for the recent PSN downtime. Sony previously announced that a free month of Playstation Plus would be extended to all PSN customers, but now they've also confirmed that free games will be a part of the package.
According to the EU Playstation Blog, PS3 customers will be able to choose and download two free games out of a choice of five - and PSP owners will have a choice of four. The list of games will differ for each region, and we'll let you know when it's announced.
However, Sony is apparently struggling with each country's individual data protection regulations in an effort to extend their data protection services to European consumers. There's no luck as yet, but we'll keep you posted.
