Sony exec John Koller has made headlines again; this time stating that the PS3 will be supported with first party titles over the next "2-3 years." Read into this what you will.
“A lot of great content is coming," Koller told Gamespot. "Over the next 2-3 years the PS3 has got an incredible lineup.”
“A lot of first-party content that hasn’t come out publicly," he added. "We’re going to continue supporting the PS3 for the next few years and we’re going to continue supporting it not only that long, but as long as there is a development spigot that’s running hot. And I can tell you right now, the development spigot for PS3 is very hot. A lot of great games coming.”
Sony are certainly willing to experiment with new IP - the likes of Rain, Puppeteer and Until Dawn pay testament to that - but what does this mean for Sony's next-gen plans? For now, we'll keep our eyes peeled for new projects... and wonder when The Last Guardian will finally show up.
