quite fancy getting to grips with the system before Soul Calibur V...but is it worth just getting 2 or 3 rather than 4?
My favourite SoulCalibur game has always been SoCal 2. Excellent balance of characters, some cracking console exclusives and, of course, Necrid - who is frankly one of the finest fighting game creations of all time.
Soul Calibur II for me as well. It's fluid, balanced and packs the truly exceptional Weapon Master mode that kept me going for weeks.
Without a doubt, Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast done it for me. The graphics still look good by todays standards, with all the technical moves and details that made it one of the best, if not the best fighting game I know. I particularly like the musical scores for each stage, which added to the ambience, and the hit detection was on point. Top job by Project Soul and Namco.
