Soul Calibur IV £12.79 @ ShopTo [PS3 Games]

Are you ready to engrave your name in history by wielding the blade of souls? Or something like that? Soul Calibur is one of the most fun, fast and furious fighter series and this instalment has Yoda in it! (Ok, so the PS3 version has Darth Vader but you get the idea...)

Shop To is currently offering Soul Calibur 4 for £12.79; more than £4 cheaper than the next best price from a retailer who has the game in stock.

Once again it is time to take part in some kind of convoluted quest for a mystical blade of souls, yada yada yada. What I want to know is how a seemingly random selection of Star Wars characters (ok, maybe not so random in the case of The Got-A-Game-To-Promote Apprentice), were somehow transported into the Soul universe.

Soul Calibur is probably my favourite beat 'em up series thanks to the great variety of fighting styles on offer. Street Fighter IV is great but I feel like I am playing about six different versions of the same character, just with a varying strength of hadouken. Soul Calibur on the other hands gives you serious weaponry (though, sadly, no blood to match it).

Soul Calibur IV is a worthy addition to the series and the inclusion of online play really extends the game's life. The character creation option is lots of fun and provides endless entertainment as you try to make a Hulk Hogan, Cloud Strife or Timmy Mallett fighter. Sadly however if you want to pit Darth Vader against Yoda in the battle that everyone really wants to see, then you are going to have to fork out an extra $5 to purchase the Yoda character, boo!

Thanks to lucerysmum at Hotukdeals!

I actually picked this up in-store from Tesco for £10 a week or so back so might be worth checking your local Tesco before ordering online.
