Beyond: Two Souls Trailer Celebrates A Divisive Launch

Beyond: Two Souls is out this week, so naturally Quantic Dream are keen to share a launch trailer for David Cage's latest project.

Early review scores are all over the shop.

We don't do review roundups here, but a quick Google search will tell you that Beyond: Two Souls is proving to be tremendously divisive. It's a bit of an anomaly, since most experimental story-driven games (see also: Heavy Rain, Deadly Premonition) tend to be interactive Marmite, polarising critical opinion between the highest and lowest ends of the scoring spectrum. Whereas Beyond's verdicts resemble buckshot scatter, with no three critics able to agree on whether it's mediocre, awful or utterly sensational.

Either way, it's out this Friday, and a demo is available on PSN.

A hint at how Dealspwn's review may end up?

Heh, I'm afraid you might be reading a little too much into that. Lovely idea though!

To be honest, I was referring to the fact that it's easy to find two critics with the same opinion about Beyond, but there's always someone else to disagree entirely.

As it's not coming to PC, I really have no interest either way, but it did sound like a really interesting game.
I'll be reading your review of it certainly!
