Full Control's Space Hulk has received a free campaign update and major patch today, in order to thank fans who bought the somewhat ropey strategy game at launch.
The brand-new 'Messenger of Purgatory' campaign includes three missions, challenging players to retrieve the remains of the fallen Captain Atarius. It's delivered via free automatic update alongside an utterly whopping list of tweaks and bug fixes.
“We wanted to give the community a big ‘thank you’ for the wonderful support they have shown, through the first stage of launch, and we think that fans will really love the Messenger of Purgatory campaign”, said Thomas Hentschel Lund, CEO of Full Control. “This game update addresses many of the fan requests and suggestions that continue to hone and refine the experience of Space Hulk”.
Sadly, we were unable to recommend Space Hulk at launch in our 5/10 review, owing to a lack of content, some embarrassing animations and numerous issues for its premium price. This new update is definitely a step in the right direction, though we're still holding out for the tablet version for its hotseat multiplayer potential.
