The Spectrobes series offers limited fun but if you've run out of cheap games for your DS then, at their pocket money prices, these two games are well worth a go.
Amazon are currently selling both the original Spectrobes and it's follow-up, Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, for less than the price of a lunchtime meal deal each! Forget sandwiches for a couple of days and you could have two new games. The next best price for Spectrobes, from Shop To, whacks an extra two pounds and four pence on top and for Beyond the Portals it's £2.21 more from Tesco Entertainment.

Sadly, Disney's first video game-only bit of IP has nothing on its Squeenix crossover series, Kingdom Hearts, offering a sci-fi scavenging simulator which starts off novel and fun but can quickly wear thin, depending on your patience for such things.
The story isn't bad at all, an interesting enough science fiction tale which shuffles along at a nice pace and digging for fossils is very satisfying and quite addictive (at least at first). Unfortunately the game feels too padded out with superfluous frippery and would have been better served with more quality, less quantity.
The sequel is more of the same really: a good heaped helping of gameplay but when you examine all the separate components you'll find each is lacking in substance.
