Spencer Admits Crackdown E3 Tease "Wasn't Accidental"

Another week, another Crackdown tease from Phil Spencer. As well as reiterating that the series is far from dead, Spencer admitted that the appearance of the agility orb on the Xbox One dashboard during the Xbox Reveal event was no accident.

“Oh… Crackdown is one of my favourite games, and not just because it’s a Microsoft first-party game,” he told IGN. “I have a lot of love for that franchise. The homage to Crackdown in the [May 21 event] reveal screenshots was… I know there was some, like, ‘Did we accidentally sneak that…?’ It wasn’t accidental. Definitely.

“I don’t think Crackdown is dead at all. It’s a franchise that’s still close to me. I think there’s a lot of room, especially… for me, the natural progression for a game like Crackdown – and you see this showing up on our stage – is in these living, open worlds that live in the cloud.”

Stop teasing us Phil!

Oh just make the soddin' game, instead of telling us how you'd like to if you could.

If we all want it despite being faintly disappointed by your last effort (consider a new location this time!) there's clearly demand. All we need now is the supply, so stop teasing and supply already!
