Spike Video Game Awards 2010 Winners | The List In Full

Lots of things going on in the Dealspwn news room today as Spike TV rolled out the red carpet last night to present this year's two hour extravaganza that is the annual Video Game Awards show. For all of the doom and gloom surrounding the global economy, studio execs with grimaces etched into their faces and people levelling the finger at pirates, used games, lazy development and corporate hacks, it's been a year that's seen some phenomenal games get released. This was always going to be a close run thing, and it'll be interesting to see how these compare when we run our own GOTY season early in the new year.

Rockstar and BioWare took the lion's share of the plaudits this year, with Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect 2 both doing excellently. Kratos popped up to swipe a couple of awards both on PS3 and PSP, and Ubisoft could breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood had managed make some noise just in time to snaffle a trophy as well.

We'll have trailer roundups and all of the announced reveals for you coming over the next hour or two as well.

In the meantime, check out 2010's winners in full [Joystiq]:

Bioshock Infinite should have won MOST ANTICIPATED GAME.
Utterly disgraceful!

We did have a top ten most anticipated titles of 2011 coming up in the last week of December, but we'll bump it forward to this Tuesday coming. Infinite certainly features, along with a few other absolute crackers. Can't wait for next year. I'm going to be in RPG heaven!

Far Away by José González - Awesome soundtrack. :)

Part of me says Red Dead Redemption didn't quite deserve Game of the Year, though.

My personal game of the year wasn't actually a nominee, it's one of those games where I think most people either love it or hate it; Heavy Rain.
