Bridges collapse around you, explosive barrels are dropped from helicopters, jets of fire shoot out of gas outlet pipes, and planes make emergency landings blocking your path. No, it's not a few loose ideas strung together to form a blockbuster disaster movie, it's what you'll have to manoeuvre around whilst driving in Split/Second.
The Game Group (Game, Gameplay, and Gamestation) have dropped their prices for the game down to £24.99, which'll make you a saving of almost £2 on the PS3 and almost £5 on the Xbox.

Right from the start this game is fast paced action, action, action! Fireworks explode to signal the start and end to the races, and in-between these moments you'll have to speed your way across the track to rocket yourself into first place, whilst weaving around the various hazards that are thrown at you by the other racers.
Unlike some of the other new racing titles on the market, this actually feels like your tearing around the courses at terrific speeds thanks largely to the sound of your turbo charger kicking in and the visual blurring that occurs when the needle of your speed gauge darts into triple figures!
Whilst the environments and the cars look great, the biggest visual treat comes from the destruction that you'll be passing though. The explosions look great, as do collapsing structures, and when you wreck another players car you'll be treated to a brief slow motion video as their car's converted into a twisted wreck.
If you want a rewarding driving experience combined with some crazy heart pounding action, then you should definitely think about grabbing a copy of this game.
