Should the thought have ever crossed your mind as to what it'd be like to take part in a kitchen under the sea with everyones' favourite yellow, absorbant, wide-eyed, hyperactive, cartoon character, then this deal might take your fancy.
You can grab a copy of the game for £9.99 from Play, which'll make you a saving of almost £2 over the next best deal of £11.90 coming in from Tesco Entertainment.
The premise behind the game is pretty simple; Mr. Krabs wants to enter into a competition to cook for Jack Kahuna Laguna's Beach Party and, as SpongeBob, you'll have to whip some of Plankton's cousins into the Marco Pierre White's of the marine world.
The gameplay is made up of 25 different mini-games that all have a culinary theme, ranging from slicing ingredients, to adding the finishing touches to your dishes by sticking a garnish or two onto them before they're served up to the judges. There are also a few tasks you can perform outside of the kitchen, such as decorating the restaurant and deciding what goes on the menu, plus you'll get some unlockables in the form of new recipes.
Most cooking games tend to be terrible even if you do have a passion for food, and there are still times that I cringe in disgust at the memory of playing Hell's Kitchen on the Wii, so now the game's under £10 it's less likely that your stomach'll turn whilst playing it but you're probably better off steering clear altogether unless you're an adamant SpongeBob fan.
