Square Hint At Character Specific 'Episodes' To Follow Final Fantasy XIII-2

Reports suggests that the new Final Fantasy XII-2 Ultimania guide books hold a few newsworthy tidbits towards the end, with staff interviews from the producers at the end of the book hinting at further story content continuing the adventures of the some of the characters from the Final Fantasy XIII saga.

According to andriasang, "director Motomu Toriyama and producer Yoshinori Kitase reveal plans for character specific episodes to follow the main XIII-2 release. They refer to XIII-2 as the game's "Noel and Serah Volume." We can also expect a Lightning Volume, a Snow Volume, a Sazh Volume, and more".

This news comes via Intermezzo's interpretation of the guide books themselves, and although it looks like there may well be more narrative treats to come, the article also noted that this might not be in the form of DLC, with Toriyama and Kitase suggesting that they have a variety of media in mind, such as novels.

I know alot of people didn't have alot of love for 13, but I enjoyed it. If they produce these as side projects whilst making new entries to the series (Eg, FFXV) then I'm ok with it. Just please don't make a Hope volume... noone wants to spend 40 hours playing as an annoying child...

Apparently now he's all grown up, he's a lot more likeable.

I can live with Hope volume. Now Snow is a completely different story, I can live without ever seeing him in the game, even the cameo he makes in FF XIII-2 puts me off the game a bit.

I think Hope got more bad press than he deserved in the first game, he grew as a charactor as the game progressed, sure sounded like a twerp but he matured allot as the story progresses.

Snow was an irritating charachter, but I have alot more tolerance for him than I do for hope. I guess it's just a case of personal preference, I know a guy who despises Lightning...
