"But Nothing Is Certain"
Last week, news emerged that STALKER 2 studio, GSC Game World, had closed their doors, ending work on the still-in-development shooter. The news was first denied by the studio via Twitter, until the same social network hosted on an open revelation from the team, who confirmed the very sad news which came as a sudden, unexpected blow to fans of the game eagerly awaiting its release.
Well, once again Twitter is where it's all at, with GSC telling their fans "we will do our best to continue". However, they advise caution, as "nothing is certain", with the studio still closed and no sign of light at the end of the tunnel yet. The exact details on GSC Game World's closure remain secret, but it would appear CEO Sergei Grigorovich was unimpressed with the teams work on STALKER 2, with Ukrainian law enforcement apparently interested in the assuming control. Very strange indeed. [Twitter]
