Stand by for £17.99 Titanfall at GameFly

TitanfallGameFly | £17.99
Price ComparisonReview | Voucher Code: UKJUN20OFF

An absolutely mad price for a truly forward-thinking shooter. Unlockables and cosmetics are at a premium, but the maps are plentiful and the mechanics are truly extraordinary. Still playing this regularly. Thanks to BuzzDuraband @ HUKD!

Can you get a game okay on the xb1, Jon?
Haven't played in a few weeks, and only play hardpoint, but the West Europe servers seem to be pretty deserted the last month or two.

PC player here, I had not played for weeks. I have finally managed to string a few games together playing Attrition. Prefer hardpoint but no one else seems to (waits are still too long though). Matchmaking is still terrible but at least that 50 GB install is getting the odd run out.
When the next big online shooter comes out Tfail will be toast.

@Late: it's still very hit & miss, depending on the time of day. All too often I've found myself sitting in empty lobbies on the Attrition gametype, let alone Hardpoint. Occasionally I'll join instantly, though.

I wonder if merging the West and North Europe servers might help at a pinch. As might actually using netcode that creates games and lobbies rather than religiously keeping random PUGs together. Aggravating that I've sat in 6v0 lobbies that could have been instantly rebalanced into 3v3.

We don't do review updates yet, as they can lead to very bad habits. But I really need to update the Titanfall review to take this into account, as it's so rare that this sort of thing works well at launch and then systematically goes downhill - usually it's the other way around.

Yeah, there's lots of people complaining about it on the respawn forums, but they always seem to be outnumberred by people saying they're making it up.
I usually play pretty late, so tend to get more joy joining the East USA servers, which are busier and are at peak times (of course I tend to have the weakest connection in the lobby, but that's countered by the yanks being a bit rubbish at the game) - but as things stand I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone buy the game. Which is a damned shame, as it's been one of my favourite games in recent years and was so much fun for the first 2 months.

The upcoming update has been detailed, if you're interested.

New game mode, Titan insignias, better matchmaking and more.

Really promising stuff.

There's not much I don't like in that update.

I'm with Late. I am really liking those patch notes.
However, I remember the last time they fixed matchmaking.
