State Of Decay Dated For XBLA

Zombie survival game State Of Decay is out on June 5th for Xbox Live Arcade, Undead Labs announced today. This ambitious open-world survival experience has barely tickled our radar over the last few months, yet promises an "open sandbox world that develops in real-time, dynamically generating content based on your actions, the choices you make, and the ever-increasing zombie threat."

For 1600 MSP. It's a bold claim, and one that could see State Of Decay becoming a massive sleeper hit if accurate. I'll look into a review.

Sounds promising.

I really need to stock up on msp. There's been some great games and prices on Xbox Live lately, but I've not seen a good deal for microsoft points in a long while...

Downloaded the trial version of this today (or yesterday, I suppose, a it's now 2am) - and very quickly upgraded to the full version. What a cracking game!
It's definitely not the most polished of games (lots of problems with pop-up, frame rate, collision detection, and AI) but if you can live with those and enjoy the game for what it is and what it tries to do then you're in for a treat.
I'm not very far into it yet, but I will be soon - because it's bloody difficult to put down and walk away from!

I received a review code yesterday, will plan to have our verdict ready before the E3 pressers kick off on Monday afternoon.

Your impressions are spot on though. State Of Decay has rough edges aplenty, but the core experience is incredibly compelling.
