The Steam Holiday Sale: Final Day [PC Downloadable Games]

As we wave behind Christmas and the turn of the new year once again and embrace the warm glow of returning to work/school/slackerdom, we also have to say goodbye to Steam's excellent holiday sale. There's just a couple of hours left to nab some of their great Christmas deals before it's back to business as usual.

In just under three hours, the last of the one day deals will be over so make a dash for it if you fancy any of the games they have on offer. The last of the deals are as follows (with comparison prices included in brackets):

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - £6.79 (£7.97 @ Tesco)

Painkiller: Collectors Pack - £6.24 (£19.96 @ Gameseek)

Trine - £4.24 (£6.75 @ Shop To)

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: GotY Edition - £3.24 (£7.99 @ Game Play)

Counter Strike: Source - £3.49 (£14.95 @ Shop To)

It's worth nothing that Gameseek's price for Painkiller is for the main game only so if you want all the extra content then you really will save yourself a packet by grabbing it from Steam while you can.

Any Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fans who fancy giving its predecessor, Morrowind, a shot (and you really should!) may want to head over to this handy wiki which is an extremely useful acclimatisation guide.

As well as the special one day only deals there are plenty of other titles on sale at Steam at the moment, all ending today, so it's well worth having a nose. The Steam Holiday Sale: Final Day [PC Downloadable Games]

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

UPDATE: Even though Steam state January 3rd as the closing date of this promo, there still appear to be a few games on offer.

UPDATE: Too late – you were too slow and missed this hot deal! Why not subscribe to our email updates or RSS feeds to make sure that doesn’t happen again?

"In just under three hours, the last of the one day deals will be up so make a dash for it if you fancy any of the games they have on offer. The last of the deals are as follows"

Those sentences contradict each other.

I think that when the author of this post says 'up' she means finished as in 'time's up' and not as in 'up on the site'. That would get rid of the contradition but make the article wrong as Steam have gone to the actually last set of deals and not the ones mentioned.

Changed an "up" to an "over" :) Thanks guys

Emma, are you going to correct this listing? This is NOT the last day of the sale, there are a whole new set of deals today, Jan 3rd. The ones you have here are from the 2nd.

She's a girl what do you expect? Girls know nothing about games or the internet.

I'll get someone to look into it, but the header on the Steam page clearly says "through Jan 3rd"

Lumoruk stop being a troll! Its too early in the year or that sort of stuff. There are lots of girls and even some women who know lots about games and the internet. It just wasn't clear when this was going to end, Steam have added to the confusioned by calling this last set of deals an 'Encore' as all these deals have been up on the site before.
