Steam Summer Sale 2011 Roundup - Sunday 10th July

  • What: Steam Summer Sale 2011
  • Where: Steam

We're into the last 24 hours of Steam's Summer Sale, so this is the last roundup for the year! You can pick up Assassins Creed Brotherhood for £14.99, which is tied with a number of other stores at the moment for the title of best price, however for an additional £2 you can get hold of Assassin's Creed Director's Cut Edition, and Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition, which isn't bad particularly if you've not played any of the games before. Getting hold of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in the sales'll save you over £5, or you could purchase a pack that includes the game, Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam, and a special upgrade pack for £9.99. Borderlands GOTY Edition has dropped down in price to the point where it'll save you almost £5.50 on the next best offer, and you can also snatch up a DLC pack that includes four add ons for £4.74, which is just over £1 for each bit of additional content. I love roaming around the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas and it's crammed full of content, so you should definitely pick it up if you've not got a copy already, plus you'll save yourself almost £4 and you can get hold of both add ons, Dead Money and Honest Hearts, for £2.24 each. If you like a lot of over the top destruction then you'll probably enjoy Just Cause 2 and you'll be able to smile in the knowledge that you're saving £1.50, however if you're not content with the sequel you can get hold of the original game for £1.99 and there are loads of weapons and vehicle packs for Just Cause 2 that are selling for less than 50p each!

Drifting into the world of Warhammer 40,000 might well be your thing, if so you can save almost £7 when you buy Dawn Of War II: Retribution. Magicka's a fairly amusing little game and it's probably worth a punt when you can save yourself over £4. Tackling the various puzzle rooms in Portal 2 can be challenging at times and it provides a nice bit of variety to simply shooting everything in sight, oh yeah, it's also a phenomenally good game that you won't be disappointed with and you'll save almost £2 on the next best offer. Finally, grabbing The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings'll make you a saving of just over £1.50. All you need to do now is make your purchases by 6 o'clock tomorrow evening when the sale draws to a close.
