Steam Summer Sale: GTA4, X-Com Complete and Commandos Collection [PC Games]

I've been raving about how dangerous the sun is for years. It's spitting out dangerous radiation, emitting skin-cracking thermal energy and is literally putting our lives at risk. Frankly, it's irresponsible to go outside! Luckily, Steam is currently giving us great reasons to stay indoors with their summer sale... and we've picked another three of the best. You have until 6 to take advantage of these deals!

Grand Theft Auto IV £4.99

What more can I usefully say about GTA4? Nico Bellic's descent into the Liberty City underworld (with several sandbox shenanigans and bowling meetings along the way) is often considered to be one of the finest games ever made. Whilst the gritty and realistic atmosphere and car handling may disappoint some, you'll be getting a huge amount of game for just under a fiver. Considering the next best deal will set you back £9.99 from Play.com, this is well worth picking up if you've been sitting on the fence.

X-Com Complete Collection £2.24

What's better than getting a classic strategy game for the price of a pint? Getting five classic games, that's what. The X-Com series wowed us back in the day with rock hard, tactical turn based strategy with elements of budget juggling and diplomacy. Battling aliens all over the world (and subsequently a future metropolis, you'll need ever ounce of cunning to prevail. Oh, and the spinoff flight sim and arcade shooter are also included- and make an excellent antidote to some of the white knuckle missions!

Commandos Collection £3.00

Whilst this deal will only save you a couple of quid, the convenience of netting the entire venerable Commandos series makes this well worth bringing to your attention. Considered to be some of the finest RTS action out there, you'll take control of the nuanced team of commandos and utilise their unique skills to fulfill your objectives. It's clever, fun and bursting with character- and I heartily recommend giving this one a go.
