Today's list of time-sensitive summer Steam deals isn't quite as impressive as the last few. In fact, most of the reductions are fairly limp and soggy (stay away from the Dragon Age deals in particular)... but we'll point you towards the couple of downloadable bargains that might have otherwise slipped under your radar!
Titan Quest is another isometric action RPG- and you know what that means. Hack, slash, get better loot and gain levels in order to defeat hordes of tougher foes. Hack, slash ad infinitum. However, Titan Quest stands out from the pack by offering a huge amount of side quests, enormous maps and a comprehensive map editing suite that provides a potentially limitless amount of fan content. Budding dungeon masters and loot grinder fans will get a vast number of hours for their measly £2.49. They'll also save £8.50 compared to Coolshop!
P.B. Winterbottom is an outstanding platform-puzzler. No pie is safe from the titular mustachioed time traveller, and you'll have to use every one of your abilities, cloning techniques and brain cells to solve some of the most diabolical set of obstacles since Braid. A steep and uneven difficulty curve may deter average gamers... but hey, it's only £1.99.
This deal may only save you a couple of quid compared to Direct2Drive, but since it's now cheaper than a city centre pint we thought we'd bring it up. San Andreas is the only GTA to let you fully customise and exercise your own character, and was the first to include swimming and wall scaling. Whilst the constant need to exercise and watch calories can get fairly annoying... at least you won't have to physically go outside! Thank God- it's dangerous out there.
