Steam's Holiday Sale is NOW HAPPENING!

Ding Dong Merrily!

'Twas the week before Christmas,
when all through the house.
Not a creature was stirring,
apart from Gabe Newell greedily rifling through your wallet and extracting every single note therein.

We don't mind at all, though, because Steam's Holiday Sale is always cause for festive cheer and big fat savings! Holiday Sale 2013 is now live until January 3rd, providing new deals each day and flash sales a go-go.

As always it's worth holding out for games to go into daily sales, flash deals or an encore, before buying - even if they're already discounted. Here's what to expect from today's offering...

Steam's Holiday Sale is NOW HAPPENING!

Daily Deals Highlights

NB: Sadly a short-lived misprice for the BioShock Infinite Season Pass has already been corrected. Speaking of, don't buy BioShock Infinite here. Get it from GAME instead. Arkham Origins isn't really a saving either, to be honest.

Flash Sales (End 0200)

As always, the epic Hot UK Deals community are already on the case. Relative newcomers should note out the Steam Sale house rules in the comments section, since you'll end up saving even more by following a few basic tips. Naturally we'll try to keep an eye on the smartest bargains - so tell us what you're buying!

Must try that Stanley Parable.
And get a Steam account.

The sale is already a complete success for me as I managed to grab the BioShock Infinite Season Pass for £3.99.

Score. That was the big one, sadly Steam realised their lovely error within 25 mins.

Okay, I'm late (ugh) to the party but as of about 4.00 this morning I finally have a Steam account!
Have downloaded The Stanley Parable, and have activated (but not downloaded) about 40 games I found keys for in my email account - mainly from humble bundles in the last couple of years.

Must be careful not to buy many games in the sale. Those forty-odd games realistically should keep me busy for well over a year if I ever play them. Hell, the Egosoft "X" bundle alone should keep me busy for over a year - I loved the first two in that series, back in the day.

Makes me wonder if the "mistake" was intentional. Now loads of people are going to be keeping a closer eye on the sale in case they make a similar mistake!

Might grab Space Hulk as I'm a sucker for turn based strategy.

Space Hulk is only worth buying at a significant discount IMO. Haven't been able to retest it since launch, but the original release was a severe disappointment (especially as a fan of the original board game and WH40K).

Might well be worth a punt since there have been numerous patches and some free content over the last couple of months. Maybe.
