Steamworks & Modding Coming To Painkiller: Hell & Damnation

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation fans will soon be able to create their own content, thanks to a comprehensive suit of mod tools and Steam Workshop support. The 'Mod-Kit' will enter beta in April 2013, with Nordic games looking to "enlist all able modders."

“As well as launching the Mod-Kit, we are working to provide regular updates and further improvements to the existing content and framework.” said Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “We’re also working to port good old Daniel Garner to Linux and Mac this April/May.”

“The Mod Kit is a great tool that we want to make available for the Painkiller and its modding community. When you look at the history of video games, specifically at the mod-history in the FPS and RTS department, a serious proportion of big names originally come from exactly that community,” said Philipp Brock, PR and Marketing at Nordic Games. “Our best interest is to make all tools available for the collective creative potential of the Painkiller community.”

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation will also be coming to Mac and Linux this spring. You can read more details in our 7/10 Painkiller: Hell & Damnation review.

Until they acknowledge that many users save game files become corrupt EVERY time there is an update and stop blaming the users I cannot see the community growing much
