Stock up for the apocalypse with a crate of Fallout 4 beer

Bethesda seem to be on the ball with their surprises this year. First we had that fantastic E3 conference with the announcement of Fallout 4, then they revealed the (annoyingly addictive) mobile game Fallout Shelter. Then there was the news of the DLC support and Season Pass done right. This, however, might be the cheery on the cake. Bethesda has teamed up with Carlsberg to create the Fallout Beer - a "light coloured pilsner lager, with a refreshing zesty hoppy taste and a floral aroma."

No, this isn't a joke - you can actually pre-order a crate today.

It appears the only place you can order from is Amazon, where it will cost you £29.99 for a crate of 12 330ml bottles. "This is something of a world-first. Adult participation in video gaming is a truly social activity, on a par with cinema and music," said Bruce Ray, Corporate Affairs Director at Carlsberg UK in a press release issued earlier. "We’re proud to work with Bethesda to produce a beer Fallout fans can enjoy”.

Whether or not it will be worth the price is unknown at this point, but you have no idea how close I am to order a crate. For journalistic reasons. I'm all about keeping you dear readers informed, after all. Hopefully this will be the start of more crazy collaborations, and we'll get some Nuka-Cola and Sunset Sarsaparilla on the go too.

Wow that is EXPENSIVE beer. £2.50 a bottle! Sounds like standard Carlsberg with a different label.

Still if it's successful, I fully expect COD Beer next year. :P

See, that's the thing. If it was definitely a new recipe I'd be more up for giving it a go, but I too have a feeling it's just rebranded Carlsberg.

For the same price I could get me some Sharp's Cornish Pilsner, which is freakin' amazing.

Presumably the caps are a form of legal tender?

@SJH: Well considering one fan was able to secure a pre-order from Bethesda with a ton a caps, I'm going to go with yes.
