Born Ready Games have announced that Strike Suit Zero is getting a standalone score-attack spin-off. Strike Suit Infinity will throw infinite waves of fighters and capital ships at players, who'll have to rely on their reflexes, reinforcements and insane missile barrages to survive.
In fine Horde Mode style, Strike Suit Infinity pilots fight to stay alive as long as possible against a never-ending army of enemies, with the intention of surviving each round and climbing the leaderboards. As you'd expect, waves of enemy forces become more powerful and numerous each round, and you'll have to continually keep racking up the kills to boost a fickle score multiplier for points and credits.
Players can spend credits on allied reinforcements between rounds. These helping hands range from Interceptors and Fighters all the way up to hulking capital ships, and should add a neat tactical element to the proceedings.
Strike Suit Infinity will launch on Steam from April 30th, costing £4.99.
We were simultaneously impressed and disappointed by Strike Suit Zero when it released earlier this year; praising its visuals and arcade gameplay but roundly rubbishing its promise to take space combat in a new and exciting direction. You can read more in our 6/10 Strike Suit Zero review.
