Strike Vector promises to deliver futuristic aerial combat with transforming jets, complex environments and a rock soundtrack; all from a tiny indie studio. Now that you've wiped the drool off your keyboard, we've got the full details and announcement trailer below.
Also, gosh, isn't it lovely to hear guitars in a game trailer again? I'd almost forgotten what they sound like after all that depressing dubstep.
This Unreal-powered indie game heralds from a four-man team, who tout hectic multiplayer battles as Strike Vector's unique selling point. Changing between nippy Jet Mode and manoeuvrable Hover Mode ("an experience closer to a classic FPS gameplay with increased precision, ironsight and strafe based evasion moves.”), we'll duke it out in some floating cityscapes and take advantage of complex industrial stages.
Considering the small dev team and release date of "when it's done," we reckon that this arcade flight sim looks rather impressive indeed. It's currently in the works for PC, and we'll keep an eye out for more details over the coming months.
