I must admit to getting rather excited about Shadows Of The Damned in my recent hands-on preview. Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami (of Resi fame) are crafting a ridiculous, thoroughly bonkers and impressively tight shooter... but as with any singleplayer-only title, the campaign length is of key concern to most consumers.
Speaking to Meristation (translated by Google), the legendary Goichi "Suda51" Suda states that the game will last about ten hours, depending on difficulty and how much exploration you decide to do.
[Length] depends on the degree of difficulty, probably about 10 hours. Maybe more if you try to collect everything.
Whilst the core gameplay is decidedly linear (think multiple arenas linked with tight corridors), I certainly noticed a number of hidden passages and collectibles that are stuffed with treasure, bones and tequila. Hopefully finding all this gear will increase Shadow Of The Damned's replay value.
We've recently been debating the importance of value in videogames, especially with Epic Games stating that it's one of the most fundamental things a full retail title has to deliver. Will ten hours be enough for you? Have your say in the comments!
