Sunset Overdrive goes FREE for Xbox Live Gold Members this weekend

Happy Birthday Xbox One! Clearly embarrassed by the level of cheap tat that they were giving away before in celebration of the first year of the Xbox One, Microsoft are letting players try out Sunset Overdrive for free this weekend.

Starting on Saturday, November 22nd at 12:01 Eastern Time (5PM GMT), Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will be able to play Sunset Overdrive for free for 24 hours. In the same manner that EA Access gives you time-limited access to a full game, you'll have full access to Sunset Overdrive for 24 hours. You'll be able to earn Achievements, save your progress, and pick up where you left of if you purchase the game at a later date.

Additionally, Sunset Overdrive’s 8-player cooperative multiplayer experience, Chaos Squad, will be available for everyone tomorrow, although you'll have to unlock it in-game by playing a certain amount into the campaign. [Major Nelson]

You'll get the pop-up saying the game can now be played when it's about 25% downloaded. Don't bother - wait a while instead. I played when it was 35% downloaded and it let me play one very short intro stage then made me wait for more of the game to download. Frustrating - better to just be patient and download a significant amount before trying it out.
Seems fun from the tiny bit I played, though.
