Yarn Yoshi Amiibos only £13.99 each

This is a great deal for the Yarn Yoshi Amiibos. At £13.99 each these green, pink or blue variations are considerably cheaper than rival stores, where prices generally start from £20. If 'reputable' stores are scalping customers for that much, we can only imagine how much these will be on eBay. Delivery is free on spends over £20.

You'll need a use for these wooly fellas, so check out Jon's Yoshi's Wooly World review.

The price for this particular version has shot up in price recently. Thankfully, this offer makes it a much more affordable (although how long the stock will last is anybody's guess.) As for the game, in our review we said that "Yoshi's Woolly World reminds us that there's no shame in creating a wonderful toy. Beautifully crafted with love, innovation and attention to detail, it's a joy to play with - not just play." If that isn't enough to convince the Wii U owners out there to give it a whirl, perhaps mention of the creative level design, challenging levels, and copious collectables to find might sway you. Rare(ish) Marth Amiibo available from £9.92

Been looking for a Marth Amiibo? Well, Amazon Prime members, stop watching Mad Men for five minutes and grab one of these for just £9.92. Non-Prime members can pick up one for £11.95.

I'm pretty sure the Marth Amiibo was rare at some point. Not as much nowadays apparently as they can be found on ebay for between £15 and £20. Naturally, this Amazon deal is the best option by far as they're selling them under the RRP. And they won't be some dodgy knock-off with droopy faces.

Kirby & Meta Knight amiibos back in stock on the official Nintendo UK store (but probably not for long)

Nintendo are notoriously bad at keeping amiibo in stock, but their UK store has managed to procure some new Kirby and Meta Knight figurines. They cost £10.99 each, which might seem steep until you realise that everywhere else is either out of stock or chiselling you for all you're worth. That's the benefit of buying directly from Nintendo, though as per usual we don't know how long they'll remain in stock.

They're both compatible with Kirby And The Rainbow Paintbrush, which is sadly rather mediocre. Still, at least you can buy it for just £19.99.

I've seen these going on ebay for £18-£25, so this is a great deal if you're after the pill-gobbling icon. The Splatoon Inkling Boy amiibo is still in stock too. Act fast, these cheap prices won't last long.

Stock at this RRP won't last long, so act now if you want this particular Amiibo, as you'll surely have to pay more in future.

COMMENT | Yoshi's Woolly World gets amiibo right

Yoshi's Woolly World is set to be fantastic fun. Just thinking about my hands-on preview session last year brings a big broad smile to my face.

However, it's also a textbook example of how to implement unlockable amiibo content. After I posted an article last week outlining my concerns about where Nintendo's transmedia toys might be headed, Yoshi's Woolly World reminds us that Nintendo actually know what they're doing.

First of all, I'd encourage you to watch the trailer again. Try to resist the urge to make "aww" or "squee" noises if you're reading this at work or in public. Wasn't that adorable?

COMMENT | The problem with Amiibo: why I'm still not buying it

There's no denying that amiibo is one of the hottest gaming properties around right now. Nintendo's plastic NFC figurines fly off the shelves before they're even released, selling out in minutes, while retailers and grey market resellers hustle to fulfil the demand.

It's a huge craze, a brilliant idea on paper, but I ain't buying it.

Be in no doubt, amiibo is a fantastic concept, but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired and seems be headed in a worrying direction. Is it time for an intervention?
