This is a great price for Batman's 3DS tie-in, which is no great shakes in the performance department, but might make a decent gift for a BatFan. To be honest, though, it's probably just worth getting anyway for £3.95 delivered! It's so cheap that you could buy a set of them as coasters if you wanted to.
Thanks to the mysterious Turkeyman at HUKD! Just what is his secret identity?

Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, the first two critically acclaimed games of the franchise.
Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships.
When one of the four games in the Batman Pack generally goes on sale it does so for around the £3.74 mark so getting four games for an additional 58p is definitely a bargain, the Batman Pack Consists of:

Today's flash deal from TDG brings this portable entry the Arkham series to a fiver, beating the next best offer elsewhere by almost £3. Critics felt that the 2.5d action wasn't able to match the main entries in the series, with long load times and divisive combat controls hamping the experience. Still, for the price it's certainly worth a go with you want some Dark Knight action on your 3DS. Thanks to FantasyDeals @ HUKD!

This is ludicrously cheap, netting you Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition for around £3.83 (R$ 14.99). It's just a shame that Arkham Asylum isn't included here, as that's probably my favourite. If you've somehow missed out on the Caped Crusader's cracking Arkham antics, be sure to rectify that now. If you like stealthy action-adventure titles, you really won't regret it.

After not getting around to finishing the final version of the original Vita release late last year, I was delighted to see that Blackgate was making its way to the main consoles in a similar manner to Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD. Keen to fill the long gap between now and Rocksteady’s next-gen Arkham adventure I dove in with both feet -but sadly without a cape.
Blackgate takes place three months after the events of Arkham Origins, making its original simultaneous release a little odd. But now we’ve had time to finish the console game, we don’t have to worry about spoilers; although I’ll not give any away today.
Batman finds himself visiting Blackgate prison after the inmates take over, with various crime lords taking a part of the facility for themselves. So yes, it’s a pretty bland mashup of the plots from the first Rocksteady games, but at least Bruce doesn’t seem to have any parent issues during the story for a change.
He does seem to have become hardcore drinking buddies with Ratchet & Clank though as he once again turns up to the rumble with fuck-all gear to navigate around the environments. Why Batman! Why do you never pack the line gun or exploding gel? You’re always going to need it, you bellend!Click here to read more...

Past industry form indicates that you'd be forgiven for dismissing the presence of a handheld game when it has a bigger and shinier counterpart on your main console. So often we’ve seen them stumble into our hands as shabby ports or overly simplistic, barely related tie-in fodder. Armature Studio is here to change things with their new Vita game. From what I've played, it truly deserves a place on your shopping list if you've enjoyed the last two Rocksteady games and are planning on picking up Origins on October 25th.
This game will follow on from the events of the console game Arkham Origins, rather than rehash the same story. The Blackgate in the title refers to the prison where the majority of the game will be set. Home to the non-insane criminals of Gotham -although a few are clearly borderline- various well-known villains ‘run’ different parts of the prison. So expect to take on some infamous faces to get the jail back in order. The story is delivered via motion comics, which I suppose is reasonable given the source material, but there’s no getting around they’ll always feel and look like the cheap option.
But there the grumbling ends, let’s talk gameplay. The action unfolds in 2.5D. The environments are designed to appear 3D, but your movements are essentially locked to a 2D plane, so left and right along with a bit of vertical exploration too. Occasional use of the grappling hook also propels you into the foreground or pulls you deeper into the screen. Sometimes you may appear to be on a 3D surface whilst being attacked by thugs from all angles, but you only have to aim your attacks to the left and the right.Click here to read more...
Blackgate Prison is under new management, and it's up to Bats to take down the Joker and his merry bunch of total nutjobs in Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. Warner Bros. have just released a new gameplay trailer for the portable title, so feast your eyes on the footage and have an awesome weekend.
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is out on October 25th for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
We've made a bit of a mess of this one. Kevin Conroy is working on a Batman: Arkham [Something] game here. That much we know to be true.
But after inferring this morning, in a daze of wishful thinking, that Conroy would be returning to play the Caped Crusader after all, it turns out that he won't be voicing Batman in Arkham Origins. Sorry for the confusion!Click here to read more...
Sometimes we're our own worst critics, and that seems especially true of ex-Retro Studios director Mark Pacini. In a new interview, Pacini has spoken of struggling to distance himself from the games that he and his teams have made over the years, particularly the Metroid Prime titles, saying that so often he finds himself too focused on the negative aspects of development.Click here to read more...
