Perhaps realising that a mutilated, dismembered and staggeringly busty torso might not have been the best idea for a collector's edition statue, Deep Silver have apologised for the internet-wide offence caused by Dead Island: Riptide's controversial Zombie Bait Edition.

However, 365 seems to have dealt with the importing bit themselves, offering an attractive £23.99 price including delivery. This NTSC (region free) collection contains Journey, Flower, flOw, three extra games and some bonus content, making it a bit of a bargain for thatgamecompany fans.
CAVEAT: the bundled free month of PlayStation Plus and exclusive avatars can only be downloaded if you have an NTSC account, being as download codes are region specific. Even though games aren't. Haven't quite puzzled that one out yet, to be honest.

Sony has announced that bloodthirsty prequel God Of War: Ascension will release on 15th March 2013 in Europe. The Collector’s Edition includes "the ultimate GoW collectible" (an eight inch Kratos figurine), a steelbook case, digital soundtrack, dunamic theme and avatar pack. God Of War: Ascension was shaping up nicely when I encountered it at E3 2012.

If you haven't already pre-ordered Mass Effect 3's N7 Collector's Edition, chances are that you've missed your opportunity to get your hands on the swag. BioWare's Chris Priestly has confirmed that no more physical items can be made in time for the March 9th launch, despite fan pressure to increase production.
“Sorry, there simply cannot be any more physical CEs made before launch. The items included in the physical edition cannot be made in time for launch. Sorry, it will not happen. This is why, back in November, I started warning people that the CE would run out.”
GAME has a few of the PS3 and PC versions remaining at a comparatively reasonable £59.99 price point, but otherwise, it's slim pickings unless you're willing to opt for the digital edition. I daresay that some of you managed to take advantage of Bee.com's (now expired) £14.99 pre-order for the base game.

If you've read our Gemini Rue review, you'll already know that WadjetEye's game is a thoroughly excellent PC point 'n click adventure that carries itself like a cross between Blade Runner and Cowboy Bebop. After enjoying some brisk sales, the developers have announced that a Collector's Edition will be appearing on British retail shelves from February 10th, complete with the original game, two bonus titles, a poster and the soundtrack.
It's been priced at £19.95 - so whether it's worth the extra expense comes down to your love of adventure games and, erm, posters. Either way, you should definitely buy the game in some form if you have even the slightest interest in the genre.

Ah, Collector's Editions; the bane of any gamer's existence. Or something a little less dramatic, maybe. We both love and the hate the well-stocked Collector's Edition. On the one hand, who doesn't love statues? Well, a lot of us; and yet we keep buying them, so publishers keep making and selling them. Take Bethesda, for example; they've just announced the Collector's Edition for Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. And guess what? It has a statue!
Click here for moreWe've already had a good old moan about collector's editions and the like, lamenting the deluge of statues and figurines crowding our geek shelves. Now, as much as we'd like to think Ubisoft heard our concerns, we doubt the recent announcement of Assassin's Creed Revelations Collector's and Animus Editions had anything to do with Dealspwn, sadly.

Felix recently had a good old moan about the Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition that was outed by Best Buy over in the States. Warner Bros has just confirmed that the details are correct - and that the package is headed for Europe. Here's what it involves:
Ooh, another statue. Surely it's getting to the stage where we could do with useful branded clobber and gadgets rather than yet more figurines to clutter up our shelves and repel members of the opposite sex with? Just our two cents - but the soundtrack CD and animated movie sound great.
