[UPDATE: The competition is now closed. Check your email/twitter inboxes to see if you've won!]
Star Wars: Battlefront is almost here, but how would you like to play it even sooner? We have three codes to give away for a month of EA Access on Xbox One.
The highlight of EA's program right now being a free ten hour trial for Star Wars: Battlefront. That's right, you'll be able to download Battlefront as soon as you get a code and play it for ten hours, unlocking new gear, XP and achievements as you go. Then you'll have the option of buying the game via download or your save file will work when you pick up the disc version.
Once you've blitzed 10 hours on that though, you'll want to spend the rest of the month's access downloading a wealth of hot EA content included Dragon Age: Inquisition, Need for Speed Rivals, UFC, Madden 15, FIFA 15 and more.
There are two ways to enter and feel free to try through both (although you'll only win one code).Click here to enter the competition.
The Beats By Dr. Dre Solo2 on-ear headphones are as beefy as they are stylish. Boasting a more dynamic and wider range of sound, with a clarity that will bring you closer to what the artist intended you to hear, the Solo2 offers high fidelity sound, streamlined ergonomic comfortable design and looks to match.
They'll usually run you £159.99, but we've got a pair to give away to one lucky winner! To get involved, we want you to create some awesome Dealspwn-themed rap lyrics.
Your lyrics can be as long or short as you want -- just a couple of lines is fine! -- because we're looking for something funny, cool and original. The only rule is that your lyrics have to include the word "Dealspwn" in some way.
Which, by the way, is pronounced "deals-pone" (as in "phone" or "own").
To enter, just type your lyrics into the comment box below or link to a video/sound file if you want to perform them yourself! We'll pick the winner by staff vote, headed up by our resident rapmaster Carl, based on originality, flow and humour. Good luck and have fun!
Competition ends Monday 20th April 2015 at 18:00 GMT. UK entrants only. We will contact the winner via the email address associated with their Dealspwn account, so make sure it's valid! HUKD members can use their HUKD login details to enter.
This competition is now closed. Congratulations to googleberry, and thanks everyone for taking part!
[UPDATE: The competition is now closed and the winners will be contacted shortly]
[UPDATE 2: And the winners are: Adventchild for this entry: Artist: Men Bahamuting Badly, Album: Need Summon To Love. Our random draw winner was glennuk1]
We've been mightily impressed with Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae. We want you guys to try it out too. There are two ways to do this: one option being to buy a copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and get a code for yourself with our cheapest deal.
Or enter our competition, as we have two Xbox One codes to give away!
It's time to get a little bit creative. To enter, we want you to come up with a boyband name for Noctis and the gang, and/or the title of their first album with the following image as the album cover.
Submit your entry in the comment box below, and make sure to use a valid email address as that's how we'll contact you! The funnier the better, but try and keep it clean (ish). Feel free to riff on past Final Fantasy lore, gaming culture or pop stars. We're big fans of bad puns too.
One winner will be selected randomly (so just say hello if you can't come up with anything), while the other will be determined based on which makes us laugh the most! The competition will close at 23:59 Sunday, April 5th. Good luck!
While you're thinking about what to write, why not check out our Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae review.

If you love classic RPGs and pine for the Infinity Engine or tabletop days, you're going to love Avernum 2: Crystal Souls. This massively expanded remake of Avernum 2 provides dozens of hours of impeccably-written exploration, combat and dialogue as you create a party and set out into a massive open underground world, exploring over 100 towns and dungeons while defending your new home from a brutal attack. It released last week on Steam for £12.74 and there's a huge demo too.
"Avernum 2: Crystal Souls is an enormous, expansive and peerlessly written RPG that succeeds both on the strength of its world and its innovative campaign structure. So long as you're willing to read and exercise a little imagination, that is. Spiderweb have refined their winning formula over the last two decades and the result is pure roleplaying quality." - 8/10 Editor's Choice review
Great news for any serious RPG fan, but in even better news, the fine folks at Spiderweb Software have granted us three Steam codes to give away!
To be in with a chance of winning a copy, just leave us a comment in the box below! We're keeping it dead simple this time. You can tell us about yourself, wax lyrical about Avernum, reveal your favourite old-school RPG moments or make some terrible puns (go on, you know you want to), but the three winners will ultimately be determined by random selection. Good luck!
Competition closes Monday 2nd February at 17:00. Winners will be randomly selected. Winners will be notified and sent their Steam code to the email address associated with their Dealspwn account, so please make sure to use a valid email address!
Congrats to RJUK1 who won our firstr LBP 3 competition and opted to nab the PS4 copy, but we still have a PS3 copy of the game to give away. The game runs great n the last-gen system too, so it's well worth entering if you fancy living it up with Sackboy and his stitched chums this Christmas.
You can click here to read our full review.
How To Enter
This time it's simple. Sackboy is throwing a party and the theme is LBP. What costume are you rocking to this shindig? Let us know in the comments box below. It turns out we value artistic endeavours as well as puns, sorting hats, psychic octopi, and random generators when it comes to choosing winners. Be inventive!
The competition will close on Friday 5th December at 6PM.
THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY!
LittleBigPlanet 3 is out later this week, and we've got a PS4 and PS3 copy from Sony to give away. So here's how this will go: we're going to run a competition starting today in which the winner will get to choose the version they want, after which we'll run another competition for the leftover copy.
We fired up our LBP 3 review earlier today, and here's what we said about the game:
"LittleBigPlanet 3 is an impressive game, stuffed with more imagination than ever before, and presented in a manner that makes user creation supremely accessible even as the toolset deepens. Though the Adventure mode is sadly short-lived, and the platform differences are fairly negligible, LBP 3 will surely prove to be a must-have game for PlayStation or series newcomers this winter."
You can click here to read the full review.
How To Enter
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is pop a comment in the box below telling us what super cool awesome gadget you'd want to own and why.
Sackboy has a Pumpinator, Blink Balls, and jetpack shoes. But what would you want? And what the hell would you call it? Use your imaginations, come up with something interesting, fire up the Pun Gun, and you could be kicking back with Sackboy and chums for free in a few days' time.
You can also earn yourselves an extra entry by Tweeting the following: "Q-Branch has nothing on Sackboy! Win a copy of #LittleBigPlanet3 with @Dealspwn http://goo.gl/CQTBHR #winLBP3"
The competition will close on Monday 1st December at noon.
The Warlock II expansion pack "Wrath of the Nagas" is out this week, and to celebrate, we've been given five codes for Warlock II: The Exiled - Great Mage Edition, which features pretty much everything you need in order to get up and running with the hextacular strategy game. Here's what I said about Ino-Co's sequel in my review:
Warlock II: The Exiled is a game that stands on the shoulders of its predecessor rather than blazing a trail, but that's okay. What Ino-Co have given us here is an incredibly solid, hex-based strategy title that provides a great entry point to the series (and the genre, to be honest), with enough here to keep fans engaged for several thousand turns.
Sounds pretty good, right? It's the sort of game that, while not spectacular, is a great entry point for genre newcomers, and will easily become a major timesink. And you can nab it for free. Here's what to expect from the the Great Mage Edition:
- Warlock II: The Exiled - the game
- Soundtrack for Warlock - Master of Arcane
- Soundtrack for Warlock II: The Exiled
- Digital Novel - The Great Mage Game - A story of action, intrigue and wizardry, set in the Warlock universe. Written by acclaimed fantasy and sci-fi author John Helfers.
- Digital Artbook - 42 full-color pages of beautiful artwork from the Warlock 2 game: Great Mages, Environments and Units
There are also seven in-game items included with the bundle:
- Domain of Death - Start your quest in the land of the dead!
- Magic is Fun - The lord known as The Magical Genius is available to your cause!
- Elementary, My Dear - Adds three new deadly elemental spells to your arsenal towards world domination!
- Chants of Light - Gives access to three new magical powers, including a powerful Lord Summoning ability!
- Frost Power - A former Great Mage who seeks retribution offer his services to you!
- Half-of-Everyone - Nobody knows him, but this Jack-of-all-Trades can be the best ally by your side!
- Ancient Dragon - A new Great Mage - the Ancient Dragon - joins the fray, and wants to show who is the greatest mage of all! Start as a huge almighty dragon who does not need any starting city. Be your own capital and conquer everything you want!
We've got five codes for Warlock II: The Exiled - Great Mage Edition. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to pop a comment in the box below (apologies that the Chrome login bug is still an issue) telling us what you'd want to be called if you were a Great Mage. What name would you go by? What moniker would you choose for yourself? Make it inventive, keep it moderately clean, definitely abuse the English language for excellent and cringeworthy puns, just let us know in the comments.
We'll close the competition this Friday at 11:59am BST and email out the codes the same day!
Winners will be notified and sent their code to the email address associated with their Dealspwn account, so please make sure to use a valid email address. Good luck!
If you're a fan of that WildStar game that I wouldn't shut up about for 3 years, you may have seen many opportunities for get hold of some exclusive in-game goodies that were handed out at this year's Gamescom. They were quite the dapper pieces of swag, providing a top hat and monocle costume piece, a rather executive looking table for your house, and a unique dye to give your avatar a special look. You may have thought that your last chance to grab one has past... but I think you'll find that's not true. You see, I managed to procure 10 EU codes to give away, and we're going to have a little fun in the process.
So, how do you go about getting one of these codes? Simple - amuse me!Click this link to find out how to win >>
Heavy Bullets is a heady blend of twitchy FPS action and Roguelike-style exploration that looks violently gorgeous in motion. Unlike many Early Access projects and competing shooters, it's elegant, simple and devastatingly effective.
"If you like your shooters tough, your visuals hot and your nerves shredded, you can buy with confidence," I wrote in our 8/10 review.
Sure, you could buy with confidence... but wouldn't you rather win a copy for free? Well now's your chance, courtesy of Devolver Digital who've provided us with four Steam codes to give away!
All you have to do is leave a comment below! We're keeping it dead simple this time. You can tell us about yourself, wax lyrical about the game or make some terrible puns (go on, you know you want to), but the four winners will ultimately be determined by random selection. Good luck! Important Note: Due to technical gremlins beyond our control, you won't be able to comment or remain signed in using Google Chrome. Sorry! Please use IE (ugh), Firefox, Safari or somesuch.
This competition is now closed. The winners will be notified soon, and thanks so much for taking part!
Competition closes Thursday 25th September at 17:00. Winners will be notified and sent their Steam code to the email address associated with their Dealspwn account, so please make sure to use a valid email address!
If you read my recent 9/10 review for Table Top Racing on the Vita, you'll know that I think it's one of the best racers available on the handheld to date. The game inspires fond memories of older games like Micro Machines and Mashed with its miniature vehicles, weapons and old-school camera options.
At £4.99, it's an absolute bargain, but if you'd like a chance to get a copy for free, you should probably get involved with our competition. It's super simple to enter after all.
We have a UK/EU PSN code to give away and all you have to do is comment in the box below and enter a valid email address in the relevant box too. Say anything you want, there's no catch. Tell us your favourite racing game you played recently. Which one you're looking forward too? What makes a great burger? Anything really. Just remember, only one entry per person will be counted. A winner will be picked at random when the competition closes Sunday 24th August at 17:00 UK time. Good luck!Click here to enter.
UPDATE: ALL CODES HAVE NOW GONE OUT, CHECK YOUR INBOXES!

In fact, we have a bunch of codes to give away on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The codes are not region locked either so they should work wherever you're playing.
The hype for Bungie's upcoming shooter has been building significantly since players got their hands on the Alpha build and with new missions and extra multiplayer maps to enjoy in the latest Beta version, we really think you should give it a try.Click here to enter the draw.

Destiny is shaping up to be one of the hottest games of the year. Here at Dealspwn, we've put hours into the recent Alpha and the brand new Beta and we think you should give it a try too. If you've pre-ordered the game, you've no doubt already got involved with the Beta, but if you're still on the fence we have a few UK/EU PS4 codes to share.Click here for your chance to play Destiny!
Carmageddon: Reincarnation's pre-alpha Early Access is available for you to try out right now over on Steam for £19.99 of your finest British pounds, but Stainless Games have also been kind enough to send us five download codes to giveaway, along with five hilariously rude sets of magnets.
Ever wanted to spell out "Max Damage is fisting a velociraptor with tiny grannies" on your fridge? Well now you can.
To get stuck in and land yourself with a chance to win some Carmageddon Early Access and a sweet sheet of sweary sentence construction, all you need to do is pop a comment in the box below detailing your idea for The Greatest Carmageddon Power-Up Ever! Remember, there are three ways to win at Carmageddon -- Racing, Wrecking, and Running Over -- so be creative. We already have repulsification, pelvic thrusting, pinball wizardy, dancing pedestrians, turbo boosts, and kangaroo hopping... but what power up would you add to the game to make it even more awesome?
Let us know below, make sure you use a legit email address for your account, and be ready with a UK mailing address should you prove victorious.
We'll be running this one through to the end of next week until 3PM on Friday 4th April and we'll be picking five winners based on invention, humour, downright silliness, and how well we feel they'd fit into Carmageddon. Hell, we might even see which ones Stainless like and do it that way. Get creative, people!
Competition time folks! We have three PSN codes to give away for Adam's Venture: Chronicles on PSN, courtesy of Playlogic games. For those of you that missed my review, the game is an adventure puzzle game with a host of puzzles to solve with a bit of mild platforming and exploration in between all the brain-teasers. There's ten hours of gameplay on offer and over 60 puzzles. Here's the official blurb:
"Join Adam Venture in this epic journey set in the 1920s. Together with Evelyn he is on a quest to find ancient artefacts in this exhilarating adventure game. Solve ingenious puzzles and embark on breathtaking platform challenges to outsmart the evil Clairvoix Corporation. Visit gorgeous locations, including historical sites and stay ahead in a race between good and evil that holds the world in the balance."
How do you win then? Well, seeing as the winners are going to have enough on their plates with all the puzzles, we're going to keep it simple. Simply tell us your favourite action adventure movie (stuff like Indy Jones, Goonies, National Treasure etc) and make sure you register in the comments section with a legitimate email address. Three winners will be picked at random when we close the lines at 5pm Sunday March 2nd and we'll contact them with the PSN code soon afterwards.
THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. Brendan will announce the winners soon, so stay tuned!
UPDATE: We are now out of codes! Apologies if you didn't get one, they all went quite fast this time around. Do stay tuned to the site for future giveaways and competitions.
It's giveaway time!
Wargaming got in touch with us at the end of last week and asked if we'd like to have 100 codes for a shiny new plane for use in World of Warplanes along with some gold for our readers.
The plane in question is the Supermarine Type 224, first flown in February 1939 and a direct precursor to the famous Spitfire. In the game, the Type 224 is graded as a Tier III aircraft and cannot actually be purchased in-game.
Not only will you bag yourself a nice new, exclusive set of wings, but Wargaming are throwing in 300 gold with each code too.
You can check out Type 224 in action here:
Just email matt[at]dealspwn[dot]com using the title "Warplanes" and we'll have a code sent out to you. But be quick, there are only 100 and once they're gone, that's it!
It's an age-old story.
Boy preorders Dead Rising 3 from cheap yet unreliable retailer. Microsoft sends boy a review copy. Boy forgets all about the preorder in the holiday season crunch, which then eventually arrives too close to Christmas to do anything about.
A classic tale, but it's going to have a happy ending for one of you lucky people. See, the boy in question is me... and I'm going to give away the sealed retail copy of Dead Rising 3!
Just in case you don't know, Dead Rising 3 is probably the most enjoyable new-gen launch title available for either system, translating the Xbox One's horsepower directly into outrageous shenanigans and insane numbers of zombies to put down with hundreds of sadistic combo weapons. "It's the essential Xbox One launch title: a rampant, ridiculous and riotous sandbox that delivers countless hours of unapologetic unrestrained fun," I wrote in our Editor's Choice review. "Rather than a pristine graphical showcase, it's a bountiful content-rich slaughter smorgasbord that encourages us to get our hands dirty in obscenely silly ways."
"Despite a handful of annoyances, Dead Rising 3 absolutely brings the fun to the new console generation."
So to be in with a chance of winning, we invite you to channel your inner MacGyver. Drop us a line in the comments box below and explain what outrageous weapon you'd cobble together out of common household/workplace objects to fight off a zombie invasion! The winner will be picked in terms of imagination, humour, originality and lethality. The winner will be chosen at our discretion or randomly if it's too close to call. Be creative! Competition closes Monday 13th January at 17:00. Postage and delivery will be organised via the email address associated with your Dealspwn account, so please ensure that it's correct! UK entrants only.
This competition is now closed. Thanks to everyone who took part!
UPDATE: Congratulations to Raasclark and the 'Beast About To Strike!'
"Finally! I get to use my two copies of MJ's 'Thriller' Album on vinyl(One's an unwanted present) and super glue each one to my two angle grinder discs, then duct taping each killer double disc to either end of my washing line pole, the middle of said pole being welded onto my hammer drill, which would be attached to the top of my motorcycle helmet."
"Not forgetting that I would attach speakers to the sides of my helmet, which would feed to the heads of my two vinyl players, glued onto the angle grinder discs, playing Micheal Jackson's zombie loving tune, in turn attracting the hordes, and slicing their much useless brains clean from their heads as my 'beast about to strike' screams out "Thriller!"."
Get out the streamers, hang up some bunting, let's get a boatload of helium in and truckloads of balloons! It's party-time, folks!
Monday 16th September will see us returning to the family fold and shacking up with our big sibling HotUKDeals to give away a whole bunch of copies of GTA V in a massive joint Twitter party.
Here's the deal: We have eighteen copies up for grabs. There'll be six rounds of questions, with three winners per round.
As with previous joint parties, every hour, on the hour, between 6pm and midnight there'll be a question going up on either the @Dealspwn or @HotUKDeals streams on Twitter. HUKD will be kicking things off at six and then alternating proceedings into the night like so:
All you need to do to enter is reply on Twitter with the answer and the #winGTAV hashtag within the hour.
For example, if this is the question:
Who voices Tommy Vercetti in GTA: Vice City? Reply with answer & hashtag before 7pm. #winGTAV
If the question came from Dealspwn, then you should answer:
Ray Liotta @Dealspwn #winGTAV
Or if the question came from HUKD, then answer:
Ray Liotta @HotUKDeals #winGTAV
Individual question contests will last an hour, after which three winners with the correct answer will be chosen at random for each question. You can expect the 6pm winners to be announced at 7.30, the 7pm winners to be announced at 8.30 and so on.
A few house rules:
The folks over at Misfits Attic are celebrating the anniversary of the release of their highly enjoyable puzzler A Virus Named TOM. To mark the occasion, they have slashed the price for the game by a whopping 75%, making it practically a steal at £1.65 for the game (although spending an extra 30p or so can get the soundtrack edition.) Click here to take advantage of the sale, which ends tomorrow.
In addition to the major saving, Misfits Attic have also begun a competition to create a Steam Card of TOM’s very own. The best designs will be put to a vote and the winner will be added to Steam’s virtual collection / swapping service. You can read all the details, as well as get hold of some official assets for inspiration, by heading over to the Misfits Attic Blog.
In our review, Jon said that AVNT was “an accessible fusion of brainpower and thumb-caning precision, packing both polished quality and an impressive amount of quality for solo players and social gamers alike.” In short, you should probably get involved while the getting is good. Happy Birthday, TOM!
Nintendo have finally cottoned onto the fact that people have been filling up their social network feeds with proud displays of flamboyant interior design courtesy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and they're looking for even more via a new series of competitions that could see UK-based Animal Crossing owners win swag.Click here to read more...
It's been a fairly slow month for releases this May which isn't particularly surprising as we gear up for arguably the most important convention season in the past decade. There've been mixed receptions for the likes of Fuse and Soul Sacrifice, and high praise for dead certs (Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D) as well as surprise hits (Van Helsing), but we've still managed to pick out three tip-top gems that should certainly be on your radar now if they weren't already.
GRID 2 - The review is well underway after receiving the code slightly later than expected, but Codemasters have delivered a fine follow-up to their seven year-old smash hit. The Race Driver was never about simulation driving, and it's nice to see a serious arcade racer back behind the wheel. The content-stuffed, narrative-driven singleplayer mode puts to bed the myth that plotlines don't have any place in racing games, and its perfectly complimented by a plethora of multiplayer race types. It's just a shae about that lack of cockpit mode for full immersion.Click here to read more...
