Counter-Strike Complete is an absolute bargain at £3.50

GAME are currently doing a sale on the Valve back catalogue to coincide with the Steam hardware finally being available. You can check out the full list here, but this one is worthy of a highlight of its own. Normally Counter-Strike: Global Offensive costs around £11.99, so to get it for £3.50, along with previous iterations like the original Counter-Strike and CS:Source is an absolute bargain. It remains one of the most popular team-based shooters around, so if you want to know what all the fuss is about - and die, repeatedly - this is a great and very cheap chance to do so. Cheers for Buzz for the heads-up!

Shuhei Yoshida On EU vs US PSN Disparity: "You Should Be Careful What You Wish For"

With the likes of Counter-Strike: GO, Dyad and Closure still unavailable on the European PlayStation Store, many British gamers have been questioning the logic behind running PSN as a separate entity in different regions. However, Sony Worldwide boss Shuhei Yoshida has spoken out to suggest that this fragmented approach allows them to "cater to the needs of the market" in each region, and that "you should be careful what you wish for."

That said, he also admitted to owning three different PSN accounts.

CS:GO & Walking Dead Episode 3 Miss EU PlayStation Store Update (Again)

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has failed to materialise on the European PlayStation Network for a third week running, with the latest episode of Telltale's Walking Dead series also notably absent despite a US release. Sony still offers no reason for the delay, which has increasingly attracted some angry backlash from PS3 owners. Several US titles are currently outstanding for Europe, including Dyad and Closure, while Trine 2 took several months to clear certification. Please can we spend our money on some nice things, Sony?

Actually, yes. Despite its glaring omissions, this week's PlayStation Store Update does provide a fantastic value PS Minis bundle from Beatshapers (which includes the brilliant Canabalt, Wizorb and others for £4.99), Zen Pinball 2, standalone HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Snake Eater alongside an extensive retro sale. More details on the EU PlayStation Blog.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Debut Trailer Shows Subway Shooting

A shiny trailer has emerged for Valve's Counter-Strike reboot that shows off a firefight in an underpass.

A PAX preview conducted by Kotaku has revealed a few other things as well. CS: GO will contain five maps for Bomb/Defuse mode, and two for another returning mode: Hostage Rescue. All seven are based on classic Counter-Strike 1.6 and CS: Source material. Expect Dust to make a return.
