Polyphony and Sony have dropped a free playable demo for Gran Turismo 6 on PlayStation Store today. Not only that, but the demo itself will act as an entry to the next round of GT Academy, running from today until July 28th. Do well, and you could be in with a shot at racing for real with Nissan.
However, if you're just in it for the digital racing, the demo itself will stay live until August 31st.
There will be a Gears of War: Judgment multiplayer demo, and it'll kick off on March 15th...but only if you pre-order the game from GameStop.
So that's a big middle digit to anyone outside of the US.Click here to read more...
Want early access the demo for The Last of Us? Well you'd better get pre-ordering God of War: Ascension, because Sony are dishing out exclusive first access to those who purchase Kratos' return.
All you'll have to do is stick the GOW: Ascension disc into your PS3, and The Last of Us will pop up on the main menu, providing details on how to get stuck into the demo. There'll be more details to come from Naughty Dog at a later date.
Another fairly self-explanatory headline this one. Konami have gone and dropped a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance onto the PSN, and it's live right now. Go and play it immediately, and then come back and tell us if your synapses exploded with excitement as ours did. You can read our extensive Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance hands-on preview here. Thanks for the tip Brian!
There's not long to wait now until we finally get our hands on Metal Gear Rising, and Konami are et to up the anticipation with a demo drop next week that'll take place in the game's first level.
Konami have announced that the demo will arrive on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 23rd, and you can gear up for that by checking out the new seven-minute trailer, titled "Jack the Ripper".Click here to read more...
Yes. Yes! YES!!!!
A demo for Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, a game which we're all salivating over here in the Dealspwn offices, is now live in Europe. The game released in Japan already, but we don't have too long to wait, as it'll be arriving on these shores come late January.
The demo features a couple of boss battles to help players get to grips with the combat system, and will allow you to soak up some of the delightful aesthetic goodness that has come about from the collaboration between Level-5 and Studio Ghibli.
We recently got a chance to play through a few hours of the game, so expect a fat preview soon.
EA have released a demo for Need for Speed: Most Wanted today on PSN and XBL, giving players the opportunity to burn rubber around the streets of Fairhaven City and accumulate as many as 50,000 Speed Points which can then be carried over into the full version of the game.
NFS: Most Wanted released last month to huge acclaim on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will hit the Wii U next year.
Just a quickie, this one. Demos for Disney Epic Mickey 2 and F1 Race Stars have landed on Xblox LIVE as of today, although only Gold members will be able to sample their delights. You can check region availability over on the Xbox.com for the two games here and here respectively.
Sports Interactive's hugely addictive management sim is out this Friday, and a demo for Football Manager 2013 went live at the end of last week on Steam, giving payers the opportunity to play out half a season for themselves and get to witness all of the new little tweaks and the streamlined interface features.
We'll have a review for you mid-week, but rest assured football fans, this year's game is utterly essential.
SCEA have announced that the Blu-ray edition of the Total Recall reboot will have a sneaky little extra that may appeal to some bloodthirsty PS3 fans. A singleplayer demo for God of War Ascension will be bundled in with the movie for anyone picking up the Blu-ray this winter.
The demo will be a playable version of the one seen at E3 this year. It's worth noting that this info was revealed on the US PS Blog, so things are a bit fuzzy regarding the EU versions, but we've contacted Sony for comment.
PC gamers rejoice! Robot Entertainment have just dropped a demo for their upcoming monster-bothering title Orcs Must Die! 2 onto Steam.
The follow up to last year's smash hit, the sequel gives us what we were clamouring for last time around and has bestowed co-op on the action-strategy title. Btter yet, if you own the original game on Steam, you'll automatically unlock co-op versions of ten levels for the original game, filled with new enemies.
Game's out on Monday!
Activision have announced that a demo for High Moon Studios's upcoming action title Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will go live on the PSN and XBLA.
Players who download the demo will get a chance to bust through two campaign missions, engage in some online multiplayer action, and explore some of the game's customisation options.
High Moon have done good work with the Transformers licence, delivering a promising (if flawed) game in War For Cybertron, with Dark of the Moon suffering mostly from a lack of dev time. With resources and time on their side for this third title we have high hopes, before the studio progress to take on the recently announced Deadpool game.
Konami have dropped the demo for PES 2013 onto the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PSN and made it available for download on PC too.
It's a moderately sized 1GB download, and the teams available for some footy action are England, Germany, Italy and Portugal, along with Brazilian sides Santos FC, SC Internacional, Fluminense, and Flamengo.
2K have dropped a demo for their sand-strewn shooter Spec Ops: The Line today. It'll be available to all on PlayStation 3 owners, though only Gold Membership holders will be privy to the demo on Xbox 360 for now. Free subscribers will need to wait a week until 15th May.
You can check out Carl's Spec Ops: The Line preview here, and it launches on 29th June for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
Finally, some good news. GAME has announced a new deal with Gaikai that will see their streaming demos live on the GAME.co.uk website later "this spring." CEO Ian Shepherd plans to make GAME's lineup "unique from other online and brick-and-mortar offerings," and this is apparently the first step.
On the other hand, this isn't exactly going to recoup the rumoured £2.5 million profit that Mass Effect 3 might have made them.
EA have dropped a demo for the upcoming FIFA Street onto Xbox LIVE, with the PSN demo coming tomorrow, along with a new trailer that shows off some of the Premier League's finest.
The demo weighs in at 1.89 GB, and the full game will release on March 16th.
Moreover, EA have lifted the lid on pre-order rewards. Depending on the retailer, fans who pre-order FIFA Street will receive exclusive in-game access to the adidas all-star team featuring Messi. The pre-order offer also includes exclusive access to the Lionel Messi Barcelona venue, an environment inspired by street footballers playing in and around the Plaça de Catalunya in the historic center of Barcelona, that Messi helped design.
EA Sports Season Ticket holders will, of course, receive the game three days early.Click here to read more...
It's Wednesday, which means that it's time for the big ol' PlayStation content splurge. By far the biggest event is that the Starhawk beta will now accept all comers - so get on that before it expires on March 7th. Similarly, the new SSX demo is also going to be available for a limited time. Smoke 'em while you've got 'em.Not literally, though, because that wouldn't make any sense and would be a waste of a perfectly good hard drive.
Deals and special offers are a bit on the limp side even if you happen to be a Plus subscriber. If anything, I'd direct your attention to Half Minute Hero and Crazy Taxi.
Oh, and apparently that Vita thingy is out today... which means that Motorstorm RC is out too. £4.79 for both PS3 and PS Vita versions has got to be good value.
As always, we've got the full roundup below sans ratings and file sizes courtesy of the EU PlayStation blog.Click here to read more...
Wow. This week's PlayStation Store update is a bit of a monster.
Let's begin with the PS2 invasion. A massive number of PS2 titles are now available to download, notably including God Hand and SSX: On Tour.
Demo-wise, we've got Mass Effect 3 and Binary Domain trials to sink our teeth into. Big games, big names and massive expectation means that you should definitely get on these as soon as possible.
In terms of deals, PS Plus Subcribers can net themselves Far Cry 2 for free. Which you should definitely give a fair trial, because it's one of the most cruelly underrated shooters of this generation in my humble opinion. It's hard and nasty, but perfectly simulates being completely alone in hostile territory. Hand-holding is not an option. Non Plus members can grab themselves a 50% saving on top of a few other digital offers.
Finally, new content is aptly provided by House Of The Dead 3, Scarygirl and free Dungeon Defenders DLC. We've got the update in full after the break, or feel free to browse over to the EU PlayStation Blog if you really need to know PEGI ratings and file sizes.Click here to read more...
