Blade & Soul, the upcoming martial arts inspired MMORPG from NCSOFT, will be launching in Europe on January 19th 2016, but ahead of that they will be running a closed beta test weekend between Friday 18th December (from 6pm GMT) to Monday 21st December. It's the last chance to sample the game before it goes live, and the kind folks at NCSOFT have handed us a bunch of beta keys for the upcoming test. You can learn more about the game, and how to claim your key, by hitting the jump.Click here to read more...
SMITE is coming to Xbox One, and it's already brilliant. Refreshing the tired MOBA genre with satisfyingly brutal third-person action and a huge cast of Gods and Goddesses from numerous pantheons, it's unique, fresh and incredibly fair when it comes to the in-game economy. Not only is SMITE accessible and fun rather than intimidating, it's free to play and you can buy every character that has, is and will ever release for a one-off fee!
It's fantastic fun on PC, but if you own an Xbox One, you can get a taste of the upcoming console version in closed beta. We've got 250 codes to give away after the break -- first come first served!Click here to read more...
UPDATE 2: Due to ongoing login and account creation issues, we have decided to cancel and postpone this competition, to be rescheduled once everything is back to normal. Sorry for the inconvenience!

If you love classic RPGs and pine for the Infinity Engine days, you're going to love Avernum 2: Crystal Souls. Spiderweb Software's Jeff Vogel has been crafting quality role-playing experiences for the best part of two decades, delivering enormous worlds and compelling characters fleshed out with exceptional writing and tactical combat. Basically, they're excellent.
This massively expanded remake of Avernum 2 is set to continue that trend as you create a party and set out into a massive underground world, exploring over 100 towns and dungeons and defending your new home over the course of 40-50 hours. It released this week on Steam for £12.74, and there's a huge demo too.
We're currently working on our full review -- there's dozens of hours of gameplay here, so cut us some slack! -- but Spiderweb Software have given us three extra Steam codes for you to win. To enter, just leave us a comment in the box below! We're keeping it dead simple this time. You can tell us about yourself, wax lyrical about Avernum, reveal your favourite old-school RPG moments or make some terrible puns (go on, you know you want to), but the winners will ultimately be determined by random selection. Good luck!
Competition closes Friday 22nd January at 17:00. Winners will be randomly selected. Winners will be notified and sent their Steam code to the email address associated with their Dealspwn account, so please make sure to use a valid email address!
Congrats to RJUK1 who won our firstr LBP 3 competition and opted to nab the PS4 copy, but we still have a PS3 copy of the game to give away. The game runs great n the last-gen system too, so it's well worth entering if you fancy living it up with Sackboy and his stitched chums this Christmas.

This time it's simple. Sackboy is throwing a party and the theme is LBP. What costume are you rocking to this shindig? Let us know in the comments box below. It turns out we value artistic endeavours as well as puns, sorting hats, psychic octopi, and random generators when it comes to choosing winners. Be inventive!
The competition will close on Friday 5th December at 6PM.
THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY!
LittleBigPlanet 3 is out later this week, and we've got a PS4 and PS3 copy from Sony to give away. So here's how this will go: we're going to run a competition starting today in which the winner will get to choose the version they want, after which we'll run another competition for the leftover copy.
We fired up our LBP 3 review earlier today, and here's what we said about the game:
"LittleBigPlanet 3 is an impressive game, stuffed with more imagination than ever before, and presented in a manner that makes user creation supremely accessible even as the toolset deepens. Though the Adventure mode is sadly short-lived, and the platform differences are fairly negligible, LBP 3 will surely prove to be a must-have game for PlayStation or series newcomers this winter."
You can click here to read the full review.
How To Enter
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is pop a comment in the box below telling us what super cool awesome gadget you'd want to own and why.
Sackboy has a Pumpinator, Blink Balls, and jetpack shoes. But what would you want? And what the hell would you call it? Use your imaginations, come up with something interesting, fire up the Pun Gun, and you could be kicking back with Sackboy and chums for free in a few days' time.
You can also earn yourselves an extra entry by Tweeting the following: "Q-Branch has nothing on Sackboy! Win a copy of #LittleBigPlanet3 with @Dealspwn http://goo.gl/CQTBHR #winLBP3"
The competition will close on Monday 1st December at noon.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation's pre-alpha Early Access is available for you to try out right now over on Steam for £19.99 of your finest British pounds, but Stainless Games have also been kind enough to send us five download codes to giveaway, along with five hilariously rude sets of magnets.
Ever wanted to spell out "Max Damage is fisting a velociraptor with tiny grannies" on your fridge? Well now you can.
To get stuck in and land yourself with a chance to win some Carmageddon Early Access and a sweet sheet of sweary sentence construction, all you need to do is pop a comment in the box below detailing your idea for The Greatest Carmageddon Power-Up Ever! Remember, there are three ways to win at Carmageddon -- Racing, Wrecking, and Running Over -- so be creative. Competition time folks! We have three PSN codes to give away for Adam's Venture: Chronicles on PSN, courtesy of Playlogic games. For those of you that missed my review, the game is an adventure puzzle game with a host of puzzles to solve with a bit of mild platforming and exploration in between all the brain-teasers. There's ten hours of gameplay on offer and over 60 puzzles. Here's the official blurb:
"Join Adam Venture in this epic journey set in the 1920s. Together with Evelyn he is on a quest to find ancient artefacts in this exhilarating adventure game. Solve ingenious puzzles and embark on breathtaking platform challenges to outsmart the evil Clairvoix Corporation. Visit gorgeous locations, including historical sites and stay ahead in a race between good and evil that holds the world in the balance."
How do you win then? Well, seeing as the winners are going to have enough on their plates with all the puzzles, we're going to keep it simple. Simply tell us your favourite action adventure movie (stuff like Indy Jones, Goonies, National Treasure etc) and make sure you register in the comments section with a legitimate email address. Three winners will be picked at random when we close the lines at 5pm Sunday March 2nd and we'll contact them with the PSN code soon afterwards.

We're proclaiming tomorrow to be the day of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. From the early hours of the morning we're going to have a fat chunk of uninterrupted gameplay footage for you as Revengeance gets given the Opening Scenes treatment. Then we should have the written review arriving somewhere around lunchtime, and you'll be able to hear the dulcet tones of Mr. Carl Phillips explode with what we can only describe as deeply erotic excitement in the video review towards the evening.
And then...well...we're going to have a big, fat Twitter party, in which we'll be giving away eight copies of the game!
Here's how it'll go down tomorrow: We have eight copies up for grabs. There'll be four rounds of questions, with two winners per round.
Every hour, on the hour from 6pm there'll be a question going up on the Dealspwn Twitter account.
All you need to do is reply on Twitter with the answer and the #winRevengeance hashtag within the hour.
For example, if this is the question:
Win MGR. Platinum Games were founded in which year? Reply with answer & hashtag before 7pm. #winMetalGearRising
You should answer like this:
2006 @Dealspwn #winMetalGearRising
Individual question contests will last an hour, after which two winners with the correct answer will be chosen at random for each question. You can expect the 6pm winners to be announced at 7.30, the 7pm winners to be announced at 8.30 and so on.
A few house rules:
NB. This is just the first of a string of competitions, great and small, across social networks and onsite, that we'll be holding over the next few weeks, culminating in a massive joint Twitter party with HUKD for Bioshock Infinite in late March. There are some big games coming up in the next few weeks, and some big competitions too.
In fact, if you imagine a massively multiplayer third-person version of Borderlands 2 backed up by a television show, you might be somewhere close to what Trion Worlds are trying to achieve. Except that you need to think bigger. - Sir Jonathan of Lester.
It's beta time again, folks, and this time Trion Worlds have handed us a fat heap of PC codes for their incredibly ambitious, upcoming MMO shooter - Defiance.
"Join a futuristic online open-world shooter where thousands of players scour a transformed Earth competing for alien technology," Trion's sergeant majors are calling. "Hunt alone or with others as you improve your skills and level up, unlocking powerful weapons that will help you survive the massive battles that await."
Advance Mission Beta 1 starts January 18th at 4pm GMT, and ends January 21st at 5am GMT, so get your skates on, hit us up for a code, and ensure you're fully registered before the weekend kicks off. You can whet your appetite with Jon's hands-on Defiance preview.Click here for instructions on how to get a code for the Defiance beta >>
In an effort to spread some festive spirit, the folks over at Gearbox Software have decided to give away a bunch of Golden Keys for Borderlands 2 over their Twitter account. The first closed beta for Hawken wrapped up earlier this week, but Meteor Entertainment have announced that there's to be another beta session running from this evening through to November 13th.
If you dropped us an email and participated the first time round, you should be able to login and get going without any difficulties. If you do have issues, though, uninstall the original client and then reinstall it again.
We still have plenty of beta codes left, so if the idea of stomping around in a fat mech and blowing up your friends appeals, then do drop us an email at [email protected] and we'll help you get set up as soon as possible.Click here to read more...
I rather wish that the Oculus Rift demo I was privy to at Gamescom hadn't been Doom 3: BFG. I rather wish it had been this instead. Free to play, FPS, mech-wielding, badassery? Yes please, and with a side of mind-melting visuals that would have been perfect.
Probably for the best though; I had lots of interviews that day, and being turned into a stupified wreck due to awesomeness might not have been ideal.
Anyway, we're rather excited for the arrival of Hawken this winter, and so are Adhesive and Meteor. So excited, in fact, that they want a bunch of you to play it early and tell them what you think. We've managed to get our hands on a few hundred beta code keys for a beta play session lasting from November 4th-6th.
To nab a beta key for play session starting this Sunday all you need to do is drop us a line to [email protected] with "Hawken Beta" in the title and we'll send you a key.
Here's what to do once you've received it:
Furthermore, the first 100 to sign up for the beta will be placed into a random draw to win one of three Hawken t-shirts, so get those requests in sharpish!
Here are a few training vids to help prepare for what is to come. We'll be jumping into the fray as well on Sunday, so we'll see you on the battlefield.
