I have got to be honest and admit I have never actually played this game, It's not even in my Steam library and in all honesty I like to think I will try anything once, but at just over 1,737 reviews on Steam which all equate to a 'Very Positive' response I think it's going to be an extremely easy decision, given that it's £9.99 on Steam but Bundlestars are offering it for only one of your shiny pound coins!
"Hard Reset is an uncompromising, unforgiving and unbelievably outrageous FPS experience," Jon wrote in our Hard Reset review. "If modern shooters haven't been scratching your itch for unbridled destruction, this the reboot you've been craving."Click here to read more...
If you didn't already grab Hard Reset in the Indie Royale Chosen Bundle last month, Green Man Gaming are currently running a midweek deal. This outrageously visceral shooter, created by a host of Painkiller and The Witcher developers, is a brutal old-school experience with an exceptionally stable bespoke engine to match. The story isn't up to much, mind, but that's not really why we're here. Note that this should automatically include the extended DLC when you redeem on Steam, which adds extra missions and a proper ending.
It's time for Polish developers to strut their stuff on Steam with a patriotic deal bundle. Highlights include the outrageous shooter Hard Reset and immensely enjoyable Anomaly: Warzone Earth - but the limp Two Worlds II isn't much to write home about. Either way, this is technically good value at £11.99 so long as you don't already own any of the games.
Steam's Thanksgiving sale is in full swing (as you doubtlessly know), but as an aficionado of Indie games, I can't help but feel that some of the smaller titles offer some of the the most worthwhile savings. From the puzzling prowess of Vessel to the deadly delights of EYE: Divine Cybermancy, I've reviewed plenty of cracking left-field titles over the last few months, and many of them can now be picked up for pocket money prices.
Note that all of the following are on sale until November 27th, and I've included links to our reviews where possible.Click here for the list and links >>
It has taken a while, but the Hard Reset Extended Edition is now available to download on Steam: including an entire extra act, new weapons, enemies and more.
Brilliantly, existing Steam owners can automatically download this new content (entitled 'The Exile DLC pack') for free.
We rated Flying Wild Hog's balls-out shooter when it released last year, calling it an "uncompromising, unforgiving and unbelievably outrageous FPS experience" in our 8/10 Hard Reset review.
Did you miss out on the Indie Royale St Patrick's Day Bundle? Shame on you. But here's a chance to get its headline game at a discount: Hard Reset. This outrageously visceral shooter, created by a host of Painkiller and The Witcher developers, is a brutal and brilliant experience with an exceptionally stable bespoke engine to match. The story isn't up to much, mind.
You can register it on Steam.
Flying Wild Hog have announced that current owners of Hard Reset (their gloriously old-school cyberpunk FPS) will be rewarded for their loyalty with a free upgrade to the new Extended Edition. If you've got it on Steam, the update will take place automatically next month.
“To show our respect for all the PC gamers who picked up Hard Reset, we decided that the upcoming expansion will be FREE for all those who already own Hard Reset on Steam. The [upgrade] should be available sometime between the last week of April and the first week of May.”
The Extended Edition contains five new levels, a new boss, plenty more enemies and a graphical update amongst other improvements. It released in the US last week.
You can check out our 8/10 Hard Reset review for more details, and if you don't already own it, you can grab a Steam code for peanuts in the last day of the Indie Royale St. Patrick's Day Bundle. Not bad for £3, considering that you'll get a free upgrade.
The Indie Royale St. Patrick's Day Bundle is now in full swing, and allows you to get your hands on some seriously great games for a couple of quid. Hard Reset is definitely the main event: a glorious old-school FPS that currently retails for £12.99.
As usual, you'll need to beat the constantly-fluctuating minimum price to get involved. It's likely to be in the region of £2.50-£3.
Insanely hardcore shooter Hard Reset has received a major new patch that updates a slew of features, adds 3D support and bolts on a survival mode. This new gametype challenges players to throw down on even bigger hordes of enemies in two levels, while only using basic weapons as opposed to the upgraded powerhouses you'll assemble throughout the campaign. The patch will install via Steam automatic update.
We rated Hard Reset very highly in our 8/10 review, since we were willing to forgive repetition and a bonkers storyline in the face of its fast-paced destructive action, unconventional weaponry and incredible visuals.
Full patch notes after the break, or hit up the Steam forums for more info.Click here to read more...
Rejoice, hardcore shooter fanatics, because Greenman Gaming is currently running a stonking deal on Hard Reset. This outrageously visceral shooter, created by a host of Painkiller and The Witcher developers, is a brutal and brilliant experience with an exceptionally stable bespoke engine to match. The story isn't up to much, mind.
Considering that Steam would like you to part with £22.99, I'd advise you to take advantage of this deal while you can.
