Lollipop Chainsaw only £3.99 on PS3

Lollipop Chainsaw is now available at one of the cheapest prices we've ever seen on PS3. £3.99 will get you a preowned copy from Game today.

This is a great deal for Suda 51's rainbow-flavoured zombie slayer. On release, I didn't particularly rate the game, but at £3.99 you'll have some fun. The script includes some amusing lines and touching moments between Juliet and Nick. But some of the gross-for-effect humour is flat-out embarrassing. Combat lacks depth, but if you play the game in short bursts, you're less likely to notice. Juliet Starling is a fantastic character though and if we ever see a sequel we hope Suda-san will convince the action masters at Platinum to take over.

Thanks to loopylloyd.

This is the best price I've seen for Suda 51's rainbow-flavoured zombie slayer. On release I didn't particularly rate the game, but for a tenner you could do worse. Lollipop Chainsaw | £15 | Amazon | Xbox 360

A chainsaw wielding, shirt-busting, zombie-slaying cheerleader. Well, it's not the worst way to get your average gamer's attention. In many ways it's professional gaming auteur headcase, Suda51's most accessible title. The humour can be a bit pointlessly crude at times, but there are some surprisingly well-written scenes between Juliet and her boyfriend's head (attached to her skirt in decapitated form FYI). The action is energetic stuff with kicks, pompoms and a ruddy big chainsaw being your tools of zombie annihilation amidst showers of blood and sparkles. So yeah, it's a bit mental and a fiver cheaper at Amazon than anywhere else too.
